Seeing how there are generally 3 battle type classes in d3 (melee, ranged, caster/support/hybrid), which will you play? Ill be a caster type. If necro isnt in here, my first char will be a witch doctor then maybe pally or barb
Ranged, IF they do it right. What do I mean? You see barbarian's bashing skeletons and zombies and they explode into bits and pieces. I want that same effect from an effectively charged and shot arrow. (Kinda like NG2) The effect of power in your shots. So far it seems like the Witch Doctor's spells are pretty brutal so I'm having high hopes on this. (Notice the locust swarm just exploding enemies)
I've always been a fan of caster types, I had an account full of Sorceress' of different builds. The Witchdoctor looked really awesome to me, but we'll see what the other classes have to offer.
I'm hoping my beloved Sorceress makes it. We gotta have some kind of Uber Nuke Mage of Destruction. Extra credit for being sexy.

Strongly depends on what kind of characters are there. What I really want to play is a warrior, like the one in Diablo I. I don't think they are going to allow a class like that, though, since they didn't in DII. The Barbarian seems to be his replacement, but it just doesn't cut it. He's too bulky and hot-headed. The paladin is too good, very few of his skills are warrior like, like sacrifice and zeal.
So far I really like the Witch Doctor (and I decided on the female one because the male has a twitching habit or something). But they may introduce some other interesting classes as well.
I will probably star with barb, in my first play through. Whirlwind ftw!
Sadly I've never played a Barb, I usually try to stay away from Brute's and stay to the more complicated classes... but this Barb looked badass, who knows maybe he might just be my first. I love that charge attack, even though it seems really ninja like.
Always, always, always casters for me. And nearly always (a contradiction?) sorcerers (or mages/magi, if you don't want me to be sexist.) I'm really happy about the male/female option in Diablo III. I hated having to be a girl to be a class I liked to play, it made me feel... transsexual? Lol.
I usually play casters. but i always have to play as a melee character too. then again, you have to play all the classes to know what ur playing against in pvp.
Whichever class has the most buffs, and is pretty buff for the first time.
I'll spill into spellcaster after I have a few decent drops I can give it found by the diesel damage dealer.

I was like that too. In the beginning of diablo 2, necro wasnt played much or maybe im blind. When they released the patch that buffed their skeletons, thats when people starting to play it more often.

I will choose whatever i see less people choosing in the game. I like playing every type of character and I'll eventually choose them all.

Therefore, caster.
