-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.

I think that Guild Wars maxing out at 20 and WoW maxing out at 60 created a challenge for pvp players. Diablo is a pvm/pvp game. If Diablo was just a pvp game...then having high levels would not be fair to those whom want to play the pvp game. Having a max level cap of 20 or 60 will make all people worthy of pvp. Having all pvp players on the game at level 20 will be a fair fight. Same with level 60. That is what I think, why Guild Wars and WoW made a lower level cap.
True but with a high level cap such as 150-250 then you can somwhat easily differentiate between those who work very hard on their characters and those who are just mehh about it. the higher the lvl cap the more unique your character is to you
while in games with low lvl caps once you hit the cap good/best gear will follow soon but when the lvl cap is high good gear takes a while...maybe you would have to be a certain lvl to not only use certain gear but a certain lvl to even be able to find it along with the minimum monster lvl

Crazy as the current level restrictions are, (how long to get my pally past the running man at level 95) i like the idea of level expansions with game expansions. alla WoW

There are no perfect characters, only progress towards...
1 If you make a couple of mistakes while your building your character it won't really affect your game play .
2 Either the game is going to be really big or really graphic. So you can bet on it that the game is going to be a fair size wich means it would be easy to gain lels in the game if blizzard makes some good competition. Ex: Strong monsters, big groups of enemies....
3 The fact that the game might be big, could play a big part in the game play if they bring back the way you got skills in the first diablo." Having to find a tome of skills in the Laberynth" I know this has no relation with high lels but it would be cool in my opinion.
So that's why I would like it to go 150+. If you got a problem with that... F*** off! Just kidding lol!

I like the life I lived, because I went from negative to positive.
You know very well who you are, don't let them hold you down, reach for the stars.
But, if they change it to ANYTHING, it should be infinite. Now I want you all to realize. Every level you go up, it will double in hardness. 99 will be just as hard as it is now, after that, it doubles, so picture getting 98 to 99, twice, just to get to 100, then 99 to 100 twice, just to get to 101. So on and so forth, so really 150 would probably be the highest some fat nerd freak with a bot running 24/7 would ever get in a couple years. This would also mean we would NOT need a ladder. Just a list of whoever is highest. ALSO, everytime you level up, the levels get less rewarding, 5 stat points a level and a skill point, all the way to 100, then after that it goes, 4 stat points and a skill point, then goes 3 and a skill point, 2 and a skill point, 1 and a skill point, then its just a stat point and thats all. So really the level would be just for looks, so its not unfair to players who have no time on there hands. So a level 200 would not be much better than a 99 since 99 is the only level worth getting to. If you follow what im saying, to make it short, the Level cap should be 99, but the option to go forward for very little in return, just to keep the die hard Diablo 3 fans to keep upping one character for ever.

Plus it would give you a chance to max or your skills. it just means you would have to put alot more time into your characters. Plus it means there is a reward for using you characters no matter what level they are, because the chance of you maxing your level is nearly none.
That's what I reckon they should do.
Maestro.... No. If they go above 350, there should be no stat cap either. Look here, if they made it so you could max all stats, you can say goodbye to all builds. Builds may seem frustrating, but they make Diablo, .... Diablo. Games like Gauntlet Seven Sorrows, (A quite bad Gauntlet remake, still fun for a while) had a similair feature, it was hard to level, but when you finally reach level 50, you had all your stats maxed..... That made the game, utterly boring, I was hoping you could max one stat out and thats all. So once I was done making a damage wizard, I could restart and make a speed wizard, then a mana wizard, alot more fun, alot more time burning. Allowing someone to max all skills an stats ruins the fun.
I wished when you leveled up, that besides your attributes, you got a an automatic increase in life and mana. Like how it works for the Heroes in Warcraft 3.
I think 80~ levels would be enough but as Elfen said depends on length of the game and how much experience you need for each certain level.
I don't want it to be like WoW where you waste the whole day killing mobs at the same spot and waiting them to re-spawn, I want it to be more like D2 where i could pass each Act and leveling quite good at the same time.
But again if the majority of the players enjoy waiting for a mob to respawn and kill it over and over again.
well really in d2 max lvl is 99...everyone no's that...well me hacking lvl 127...but when u go to kill one monster is reverts bak to lvl 99...i have yet to figure out why plus u can start out lvl 0 or -1..which would be kida cool to start out as a negative lvl...yet your hp is set at a specific number...mana ect. i have 1/0 hp ina test charater...(THIS IS OFFLINE) plus whats with the ears i cant make the grim reaper ear it make it to where im not able to play with that charater?

To find the truth, you must risk everything.
