My roadblock is probably what you'd expect: The conquests. They seem fairly impossible. I tried doing an all-legendary run on GR45 but basically did no damage to anything. My damage relies on my set bonuses. The 50mil gold requires specific legendaries too and was told that you'd have to basically "Never stop killing" enemies.
The only one that looks vaguely in my reach is the Act 1-5 in an hour but even a recent thread kind of notes how hard it sounds.
I'm just worried. Is this the end of my journey? What's the easiest conquest to work towards?
There are plenty of builds for the GR 45. I literally did my crusaders in my LoN gear with yellow rings and shoulders cuz I didnt have legendaries to replace them at the time.
The easiest conquest by far is the 50 million gold streak. Most people get this "by accident" at some point - when doing a T10 rift and killing a Gilded Baron, especially while having Boon of the Hoarder equipped. You can also have a Goldskin in your inventory to quickly swap when you see a Gilded Baron - Boon of the Hoarder and Goldskin when encountering a Gilded Baron goblin in a T10 rift will get you 50m+ gold easily. If you want to go for the conquest the "hard way", here's how: start an adventure game on T10 and equip your character with max toughness and zero damage (literally as low as you can go). Go to "Ruins of Corvus" and open every door, make sure to spawn all the little scarabs that will crawl over the walls. Then go back to town, switch to DPS/gold find gear (Boon of the Hoarder, Goldskin, Kymbo's Gold, Raven's Wing/Devil Tongue, Avarice Band, gold find on some items as secondary and in paragon, emerald in helmet and Leoric's Crown in cube or equipped; of course, not all of that but just enough so that you still have enough DPS+toughness). Since the map is already entirely visible, all doors are open, and all scarabs are spawned, you can just think about a continuous path (do not run into dead ends).
The second easiest is the GR45 without sets. It's a bit more difficult than last season, but still manageable. I personally enjoyed that the most; it also depends on a lot how high your paragon and gem levels are. If you do this at paragon 300 and with rank 25 gems it's a challenge. If you attempt this conquest at paragon 600, with rank 60+ gems and a few ancient legendaries, it'll be a joke and you'll blast the rift in 5-10 minutes. So if you feel like you totally can't make it, just get some more paragon, gem levels, and better gear :-) There was a nice thread on Reddit recently to sum up a lot of good builds for all classes for this conquest - here.
I'd say the other conquests are all about the same. In my opinion usually by the time you've acquired 6 class sets you're strong enough in paragon and gem ranks to make GR55 relatively easy even if your gear isn't perfect. It also means that you can pick sets from two classes, but you don't have to do ALL OF THEM (unlike with the 8 set dungeon conquest). So this one isn't too difficult, unless you're a player who was lucky in acquiring all the gear, but not really high in paragon and gear/gem power creep.
The 8 set dungeons vary a lot. There are some dungeons that are really really hard, some are ridiculously easy. Some dungeons require extremely specific gear (hard to get items) or even exact power levels (not too much and not too little damage). Plus, for the mastery you always have to clear every dungeon which can at times really be annoying - and is the reason why by now I think I won't do this conquest. An easy way to get this conquest is to have a friend who helps you clearing out the dungeon after you've completed your personal objectives (e.g., the Thousand Storms dungeon is much much easier with the help of a friend). So, it really depends which 8 set dungeons you choose, and how determined you are - if you're the type to give up easily or if your frustration level is really low, do not attempt this conquest (or make sure to pick 8 easy ones; I'm sure there will be lists/rankings shortly).
Last but not least, Speed Racer. We thought this wasn't too hard, but were in for a surprise. We felt that we didn't waste any time, had a good group (wiz, DH, WD, barb, all insanely speed geared), never searched for anything for more than a few seconds, split up tasks... and were still 5 (!) minutes over. I've watched several videos and read several guides and reports and rarely seen anyone with more than 2-3 minutes left, and that includes having insane luck as for example with the Blood Marsh quest or finding the right exists on some other large maps. Here's a great guide about this conquest.
I completed Destroyer just yesterday, clear 45 with no set item on the first try, plvl 400, level 50 gems, but I wonder if the 50M gold averice achv is the next easiest conquest.
I think my wall will be the T10 rift in 4 minutes, mainly because I'm a solo player and s such, want to do things solo...
Even if probably by joining a public game I would get it in a few key farming sessions.
This might be derailing the discussion a bit, but... Anyone can point me to an existing thread or reddit post where the T10 in 4-3 minutes achievements are discussed? Possibly done solo XD
I did TX in 4 min solo on PTR at P400ish, with just using Invoker set. Commenting that, since you obviuosly play Crusader.
Just joined a TX game and after few rifts I had the 3 minute clear as well. Both on PTR and now on live. Shouldn't be to hard.
Have you considered going for the "Years of War" conquest? You need to reach Greater Rift 55 on 6 different sets. While it might take a lot of time to do, this is certainly possible. I personally finished it yesterday with DH (4 sets) and Crusader (2 sets). I also managed to finish the The Thrill with my DH extremely easily
I got the Avarice conquest by accident the first time I killed a baron gob with gold gear equipped (T10, leveled up boon in a ring of avarice (A2 cache ring), paragon goldfind maxed). If you run gold gear in T10 you will get this one sooner or later.
The Thrill is probably the next easiest one to get. Plenty of ideas/builds about how to do it here on Dfans. Once you can run a decent T10 rift (without set items) you can do this one.
Master of the Universe- the set dungeons are about understanding the set and tweaking the build... and not so much about pushing damage or anything. It's usually about taking something out of the build instead of adding to it. Dfans and youtube if you get stuck.

This is very good info. I get around 45-48 Mil per Gilded with my LoN Bomb Cruz.
List of gold find on my set:
81% Kymbo's Gold - neck
35% Litany of the Undaunted - ring
33% Homing Pads - shoulders
Just a Kymbo's Gold and Goldskin should be more than enough with a Boon of the Hoarder. Also take advantage of Gold Find in paragon for this conquest.
bandit shrine on tx.. wasn't even trying for it, but got the avarice conquest from that though i do have kymbo's gold, not on purpose for the avarice, just because it rolled good

Hi, I play a DH. What other class would be the easiest to give me the remaining 2 sets that I need to do to complete the Years of war? Thanks.
