First off let me say that I have been with Diablo since the beginning, I owned the pc version and then the ps1 version as well. Then Hellfire, D2,LOD bought D3 at launch and survived the horrible launch then the seamless launch of ROS. It has been a journey that I have enjoyed since childhood. There have been a lot of ups and downs Playing Diablo all these years. I have sat through the debates console v.s. Pc and honestly I was a console skeptic until my son bought d3 on the ps3 and I finally gave in and played it and I felt like d3 was made for console which is why I bought it for the ps4 and is where I play D3 today. I feel like the things ruining this game/franchise are the cheaters ruining the experience for honest players. Another thing i feel Is currently in need of change is class/balancing. You should be able to (with the right build/gear) play with any class and get similar results instead of one class being king of the current patch *cough Monk cough*. Overall though I feel like as long as the D3 team keeps bringing innovative changes and providing the work to fix things as they come up this franchise will live a long time. It will only truly die if the developers get lazy or give up. Everyone raves about D2 but it had it's own share of issues and was made better through changes in the form of patches. In short as long as changes keep coming Diablo will live on.
No there are probably just as many or more cheaters on console not exclusive to ps4 i have seen a lot of post regarding cheaters on xbox as well. I usually play solo or with other like minded honest gamers.
well.. I do think maybe d3 should have abit more versatile? I mean give more option than just the 4 option that we have with paragon. But I do think that having the game designed to be able to be played on console kinda ruined the game.
Regarding imbalance issue::
Over many years of playing wow and d3 I have come to believe that Blizz have NO INTENTION of balancing classes. I recon it is a deliberate strategy to keep ppl playing by making seasonal/patch/build classes the "best" - It makes already committed players play more as they move to that class/build/patch.
I am a dedicated Wizz player- but right now I've played a bit of WD and played Barb more than I ever have b4- (Blizz seems to hate Wizz more than other classes IMO)
The imbalance is deliberate- it helps keep the game alive for more serious players IMO.

It's not an MMO. The sooner you realize that (you won't) the more things will make sense. It's a single player campaign game with a multiplayer option.
Regarding cheating on console. Read the forums on the blizzard site. All they do is hack items and sell them. It's just another auction house. There are a lot of people who request trading. But if they want to know what it will be like. They just need to look on the console forums to see what will happen. Of course items wouldn't be hacked. But trading of Godly Gear would be the end game the same way it was with the auction house.

so why isnt there a offline mode like in d2? why cant i mod my single player game like in d2?
The entire reason D3 was an online only game from the beginning is because of the RMAH.
