Yea I'm right there with ya, so sick of working hard to be the best. I should totally just be the best already.
I do believe the point is that being the best should be determined by skill, not the amount of time one spends creating games.
ARPG, last I heard. Wrong genre. Go play FPS, RTS, MOBA if you want skill based.
Now isnt that nice? Why dont you make a video about what we should play? The GR mechanic is BAD! B A D ... try to understand that and stop telling us what to do!
Well, people playing an ARPG have no right to complain about the game not being skill-based enough. Skill has never been the leading factor in RPG games... Gear and level are.
That being said, if you'd let me play on Quin's wizard I'd probably still fail to clear GR60+.
The only reason fishing exists is because some morons insits on exceeding their realistic capabilities, get bored with the method of doing so, then cry when they can't farm way higher than they should be able to. These guys that put up videos of high grift clears probably spent hours searching/fishing. And that's not blizzards fault, thats the dumb players that do it. Your kind will always look for somthing to "fish" for an advantage. It's just in your elitist jerk nature.
Its called competitive playing. When the RNG is involved you play more to get best options. If you dont value the aspect of this then you are playing the wrong game. Fishing is term for farming for best greater rift. Just as you farm for items and paragons and everything alse in this game. D3 is game of farming. Why do you farm if not for getting better. Its in the nature of every healthy living being. Trying to be better. This is why those games are so successful. This has nothing to do with being a moron or jerk.
I would say that those characteristics are far more likely to be associated with people that lack competitive spirit.
The base of all the sport is in competitive spirit.
You're trying to argue the same point I made. People are complaining about fishing when they are the ones who deem it necessary. If you want to fish for that perfect rift to go higher, by all means go for it. But dont cry and moan that it gets boring when it's your own choice to play that way. If you don't like it, get off your competitive high horse, take a break. Maybe play something else for a while.
Well, you're acting as if any random person can fish for a good rift and get awesome ranks.. It still takes quite some gear and skill to clear even a dream rift at 75.
Also can you guys look at that ik/wastes barb and let me know any improvements? Im thinking ancient lacuni and attack speed on gloves and another ancent ikbb with attack speed instead of vita? Thats all i can thunk of to boost dmg!
Honestly you have vast amounts of improvements that can be made not only with your gear but your spec choices. You are playing a sub par hybrid of 2 very strong specs right now. If you want to make any serious push past 65 you will need to put in the work to fix the holes in your gear/spec.
Few examples:
-Your 5th passive is mediocre in a Blood Funnel build (Superstition would be far superior if you need the survivability or WM/BoBK for damage)
-Missing Area Damage on shoulders and rings which is a pretty significant missing multiplier
-Ancient rings are nice but consider the fact max primary stats are 20%AD 50%CHD 6%CHC regardless of ancient or not (more secondary resist on ancients though)
-Missing Physical Damage on your neck 40%>20% multiplier
-Pants have a secondary resist which is bad for barb since you can't have a secondary resist and All Resist on the same item
-Lacking Physical Resist in your secondaries (shoot for 2-3 physical and 1-2 lighting resist)
-12% Movement Speed on boots or 15% WW Damage if you plan to stick with 6 wastes
-Cube the RoRG because a Unity tends to role better stats
-Pain Enhancer does all the Attack Speed work for you which is why you want to avoid AS on gear
-Reaper's Wraps seem redundant with the Ancients' Fury rune
No matter how much you improve your gear you will still struggle because of your spec choices unfortunately. 6Waste4IK can be fun to play but it simply isn't polished enough to have expectations that would rival 6IK2Waste Rend or 6Waste2BK+KodiacZodiac
See the problem is that no matter what they do,people would compain. If they made it to where every rift was "perfect" everyone would be doing the same exact rift over and over. That sounds horrible personally. This is the way i see it. The only reason fishing exists is because some morons insits on exceeding their realistic capabilities, get bored with the method of doing so, then cry when they can't farm way higher than they should be able to. These guys that put up videos of high grift clears probably spent hours searching/fishing. And that's not blizzards fault, thats the dumb players that do it. so your telling me you are happy that there is such a huge disparity between monster types and progress towards rift completion? because if you are, then i truly pity you, the point i was making in my statement was that way back when, the whole point was to tackle things that were beyond your level so that you pushed yourself/team mates to get better to overcome that challenge, and if it was purely a mathematical impossibility then you worked on that aspect until it was possible but still a challenge, now what i'm being told is "sit back and farm paragon levels because they are what is holding the game up at this point and will make you over power the content so it isn't a challenge anymore" which i find disgusting and a pointless waste of time, it's like back in D3 classic, i played AH simulator many times a week, i got really good at it and made loads of money off of it, but my god was it boring, the same applies here, paragon levelling is AH sim 2.0, and as such is just as unhealthy for the game as the supposed "terrible AH" was, of which i highly disagree, the AH was one of the best features of the game, the RMAH is another story and that's where i have issues, but the regular AH was never a problem, anyway i digress, the game now revolves around 2 things, botting/farming paragon xp, and fishing for the right rift because of how terrible the disparity between monster types and progress is, and as a result we have this ad nauseum cycle of the same muppets ruling the leaderboards because they have the time to dedicate to the aforementioned tasks and it will never change, never again will we see random guy X take top spot one season thanks to a bit of skill and luck with a good rift because botter/no lifer Y will just blow it out of the water in a few days of xp farming.
I would really like to know what goes down at blizzards d3 department. Do they not play the game I mean anyone who has a brain can see what the problems are. More so the people who made the game... What is the reasoning behind them not fixing these issues such as major disparity between classes n set items n certain mandatory legs. It's never going to be perfect, but if they took on board what the customers wanted n what works it would b an amazing game. But one can only dream...
When there is so much more money coming in from their other games there is no need to pore resources into d3. I'm sure we'll get an in game shop soon enough to keep the department rolling. Since wow is drying up... and If there is no major announcements at blizzCon, I wouldn't expect shit all for a while... They burn too much money at blizzcon, n pour too much money n resources into a game long past, that is world of Warcraft.
Just fix the issues. I mean a fuckin 14 year old kid knows what they are, so what's the issue? I'm not talking bout just the fishing aspect of the game, which is only a minor part of the big picture.
I do consider it silly that at the top of the play that d3 offers its very often better not to play (close shitty rifts/skip yellows/blues) rather than deal with whatever gets thrown at the player. Sure it would be nice if it was always worth going through all the content rng throws at the player, but as some have mentioned - one doesnt have to go through hundred of keys and waste 95 of them by closing them within 30 seconds of going in. Its their choice to do this fishing and ultimately raging because of that. And wherever there is any RNG involved in a system, getting the max out of it will always be just and only up to the RNG and number of attempts. The problem with D3 is simply that there is way too much of the RNG. Me personally - RNG can go kiss my ass, i dont want to spend my time in a game doing things that i dont consider to be fun and doing things that are not decided by what i do but by some roll somewhere on a server 800 kilometers away.
The whole go in and close the rift after 30s is bullshit imo, I had plenty of rifts where the first map was bad but short and the next floor gave you an instant conduit with huge mob density that easily gives you tons of progress to make up for it.
Of course you'll have to close some rifts if you want to compete for top ranks, but then again you are playing a RNG game that has a variance in what it throws at you... and you want the top spot? Well guess what, you'll have to be lucky to some extent.
That being said, if you'd let me play on Quin's wizard I'd probably still fail to clear GR60+.

fishing shouldn't be possible
more importantly, it shouldn't be something that anyone would feel necessary to do in the first place
i hope they have a solution in the works
