Do we really more classes? I vote for alot more content over new classes.
Depends on the implementation of said class. If it adds a fun, different playstyle, and can be balanced with the other classes (since Blizz is beginning to narrow in on some class balance slowly), then I'm all for an additional class. If they can't manage all three (fun, different, balanced) then I'd also much prefer them to just add 2-4 skills to each class (and a passive or 2), and spend the rest of the dev time on new interesting game systems.
-Druid
-Rune words
-More classic D1-D2 items brought into the game
-The return of rares having the potential to be really good.
-PVP
-less reliance on sets
I don't know... As much love as the Amazon gets (and with the hints of Skovos being the setting it's very possible), I think the general consensus is either a Necro or Shifter class would be the fan favourite for the new Expac.

I agree with almost everything, exept the yellow item and at this point i dont even care about PVP anymore xD
I doubt they would go for an Amazon class since they are now talking about making a set for the Demon Hunter that revolves around melee. If anything instead of new classes they are going to add new sets that incorporate concepts of the other classes such as having the Witch Doctor have a set that they would shift based on the pet they summon.
Things always change, but if I remember the blue posts from the time of Reaper of Souls one of the big reasons for the Crusader was they wanted a second strength base class so there were two for each primary attribute. Just like they didn't add a new companion since they had one for each primary attribute.
I really don't see them going back to too many of the concepts from Diablo 2 because I could see it becoming too much of a copying from the past instead of trying new things or at least if they do return they won't be the same as before. Such as if charms return, it would be more of a new item slot instead of something to clog your inventory with.
I agree, especially with the rares, we need a change that could make rares viable even after 70, not just grind your way to get all the set items and perfect legendary items for your build and then just grind some more to get paragon levels...
Yep they tried that once already, it's called vanilla D3, where rares were as good as legendaries. What happened? Everyone hated it haha. Legendaries are SUPPOSED to be better than rares.
While Skovos Isles are the home of the Amzon society, the games misses the most a shapeshifting class, which is likely to be the next class added.
Crusaders followed the same reasoning: we were missing the second STR class and basically a shield user in game. For next xpack we are already fine with class balance over stats, so it's a plausible opion that the next class will be a hybrid one.
More details: some skills can scale over STR and others over DEX or INT other than weapon damage. This premise fits very well a shapeshifting class since it can take different forms like bear(STR) and werewolf(DEX) (totally not intended D2 druid references :D) and different builds can focus on different stats.
Biggest problem with this design is the smart loot, that makes drops tailored to your class - it would be unfair for the hybrids that gear with both stats would randomly drop (especially sets) because it would be harder for them to get the gear. Possible solution would be that by choosing the correspondent form, smart loot recognizes what main stat is being used and drops stuff accordingly.
Shaman overlaps too much the witch doctor theme, a lot more than Necro. With a change i on theme/name it could be, but i would drag away from the "sacred warrior" concept because we have both Crusader and Monk covering that. A nature-themed guerrilla-styled combatant would be cool to add as it can easily be both a melee/spear warrior or a thrown weapon one, whilst keeping its community with nature.
About support: i don't think we will ever see a pure support class because of two reasons: we have already 2 of them which are hands down mandatory to tackle high GR in a serious way and a pure one would just occupy another slot. Plus, a pure support will have no chance in solo GR if not given enough dps tools.
I'm fine with support builds, the problem is that 2 specs have become incredibly powerful and surclassing any other, while group comp should be more varied. Checking the rankings is just sad as everyone is running healmonk/supbarb and dps between hita, swk and WD.
I think next class will be druid or archdruid or something else that is heavy nature focused.
They might also introduce new mainstat like wisdom. That could work well with shapeshifting and give different benefits depends on form druid is using (for example in bear form it might give armor, in caster form all res etc.).
I don't care what new class they introduce but there needs to be one. It's one of the main expansion sellers to be able to play the game but in a different way again.
I think that the new class will probably be similar to how WD is sort of a Necro, but in a reimagined way, and Crusader is a Paladin, but in a reimagined way. I don't think you can say "Oh, can't be Amazon, cause only women" cause that's no barrier for Blizzard, they'll make something up so it works for men as well. Same thing for other problems, Blizzard can make things work if they feel there's something cool they can do. (Just have to look at WoW getting Demon Hunters for plenty of examples of that.)
Personally I kind of like the idea of a naturey shapeshifter type class. Doesn't matter if they call it a druid or not.

Maybe add an option like the "Spec" thing in WoW, where you can go into a raid in one spec/role, but specify loot for the other.
So say you're a bear druid, you could select "Smart Strength" and all Smartloot would roll Str. If you then change to Wolf form, just flip the switch to Dex and Bamf, you get dex gear.
This would actually be useful for ALL classes, as it would allow your Smartloot to drop things for your Followers as well... My poor Templar at the moment is running around in full Dex gear, because on Str gear drops on my Monk :p.
Considering that Demon Hunters are going to get a dagger set, ima say, no to Amazon.
From D2, the only class that doesn't have a representation is the Druid. Necromancer is most asked for class from the D2 series, and we run into Necromancers all the time (Personally, I think that Necromancer will become a follower). So, imo, the most likely next class will be the Necromancer himself, followed by a druid-like class. After that is Assassin, then Amazon.
For stats, the Necromancer suggestion thread suggested adding Wisdom as a primary stat, although I personally think that Primary stats will be rolled into a pure Power stat myself, with stat gems becoming stuff like +1% CDR, RCR, AS, ect, to both make room for the Sapphire, and to make gemming a choice beyond Primary Stat or Res.
The elemental skilltree is very similar to some wizard and barbarian skills. The summoning skilltree has some similar skills with DH (Raven, Wolf) and the whole concept is pretty much covered by the WD. The only remaining skilltree is shapeshifting (which I would love to see in D3. Both bear and wolf were super fun post patch 1.10)
If we are to see a druid, I think Shapookia was onto something on the previous page. That his skills would be more plant-like than earth/element type.
See that's the thing... When everyone says "Druid" they REALLY mean "Shapeshifter".
They'd probably throw in a few spells for human form, just because. But if they added a Druid class to D3 I'd be willing to bet large money that it would be a shifter class.
Another class that comes to mind is the Cleric/Priest. Though this would be a third int user it fits the hybrid model: light for healing and shadow for damage. If Blizzard is happy with the current healer role that is.
I would love to see a Necromancer but as above posters state, this is very unlikely because the Witch Docter is too similar.
also blizz have stated categorically that the necromancer will never be a playable class in the D3 universe, there will be NPC's that are necromancers, but players will never get to play as one.
since in terms of the story and gameplay we, the nephalem, have chosen the path of righteousness and the light, wouldn't it be accurate to assume that any new hero would also be favouring this path too, i can see them adding a cleric type hero, they would have to be ranged since the last hero added was a melee hero (even though blizz tried and failed to make it a melee/ranged hybrid class), also it would likely need to have some kind of inherent defensive skills, more so than wizard/WD/DH, maybe even all 3 combined, as a viable alternative to the old "glass cannon" type of gameplay.

I hope to hell they bring back the amazon or a javelin throwing class, what do you guys think? Discussion video link below:

All i want is necromancer and the scarier the better will pay $60. thanks.

Everyone saying druid isn't represented, do you even remember the skilltree? Look: http://classic.battle.net/diablo2exp/classes/druid.shtml
