also blizz have stated categorically that the necromancer will never be a playable class in the D3 universe, there will be NPC's that are necromancers, but players will never get to play as one.
IIRC last statement was that WD has been designed in a way so if they wanted to put Necro in D3 they wouldn't overlap.
Though it's an old statement and they can have changed their opinion, i cannot recall they changing their position about the Necro.
Hey there, I definitely don’t want to see amazon neither druid in the game. Any ideas from D2 look too narrow and not creative, I want to see new stuff and new ideas and I see that blizzard tries to follow in that way too. Yes some stuff could be inspired by old classics, but in no way copying them so no more amazons, necros and druids please.[/p]
[p]Let’s be wider in our ideas and use more sources than D2 for our inspiration. Here are some classes that I came up within just half an hour and after reading some ideas from this thread:[/p]
Lancer class (ref Fate/series) – a warrior implementing extensive use of spears, asian/chinese themed. Usind mid range, high damage and high mobility, but squishy. Fitting the role between range and meele class. Probably can throw spears occasionally (hello amazon lovers)
Reaper class (need another name) – (ref Tera) – same idea for mid range DPS as Lancer, using some cool weapons like scythes on chains. That’s probably copyrighted but you get the idea.
Sage class – another magic user, extensively using earth magic and adjusting environment. Having a range of new debuffs for enemies, ability to control and relocate enemies. Has a dispell mechanics to remove shields from enemies and negative effects from friends.
Bard class – using music and musical instruments to fight and support. Ranged support. Can also use bows and swords – many build opportunities. Probably can also shapeshift sometimes, but we never know^^.
Priest class – while monk being a meele/asssassin/support type – this one would be a range/dps/support type. Using powers of light extensively, but as being close to angels and demons can use demonic powers as well, and using it too much will make him possessed by demons for a while.
[p]And that’s just a tiny bit of what can be imagined.[/p]
-Druid
-Rune words
-More classic D1-D2 items brought into the game
-The return of rares having the potential to be really good.
-PVP
-less reliance on sets
-charms and a charm inventory for them to go in
-more interesting gem choices/interesting runes
-more unique build viability
-items that give you skills of other classes
This. Why do legendaries have to have totally extreme amounts of stats? Just make it so legendaries give you specific functions not ALSO ultra stats. If that were the case and you play a build which has say bracers as a flex slot you could totally go with a rare bracer for a long time. Sadly thou, that is not possible, not intended and will never come. Why? Don't ask me. Ask the devs, who clearly don't play their own game.
Lol, the Bard class sounded hilarious. Imagine a class weilding guitars and violins, shooting notes and chords ^^
I don't think charms, runes and runewords would bring anything positive to the game. So you get some more stats and powercreep, but ultimately it would end up like every other itemization tweak they do: 1-3 setups is BiS pr. class and everything else is utter sh*t. It doesn't increase the replayability of the game in any way, which is becoming lower and lower for every season they start.
The thing I miss the most right now is more end-game challenges. Pushing GRs is fun, but somewhat tedious now that I've been doing it four seasons straight. Some of this seasons conquests and season journey was a welcome addition and fun to accomplish, but we need more. I think I only have two conquests left, but they're more a matter of priority rather than actual challenge.
Do we really more classes? I vote for alot more content over new classes.
More Content and a revamp of movement system/UI. Who clicks to attack?!?! The worst system ever. Bliz, we can handle keybinds. We have no issues with 20+ keybinds. Drop the mouse bs, it's infuriating.
I've always believed RoS was a quick patch up to save D3 Vanilla and it always felt incomplete on it's release. A new expansion would likely have more content this time around. Hopefully, 3 new classes will come from it unless hybrid primaries or another expansion is on the pipeline.
In terms of how classes feel right now in order to determine the new classes, as a player who mains a monk, I feel the monk has fallen so far off path, he feels more of a d2barb-paladin than a assassin-paladin. The monk never felt like a complete class since its inception. That being said, we might get a class to fill in that niche in the expansion.
Also, I'm all in on a Bard class. We need some six string samurais in Sanctuary.

Yeah, i've always had this feeling too. Tbh i don't know which kind of content they can deliver, but even if it's 1 class only and more story/game modes i will still be happy.
I think I'll always be impartial to Druid's thanks to Everquest, everyone's got one!
I mean to be honest, and it will never happen but an Illusionist class (Enchanter) if they brought back Crowd Control. I'm not sure how much I like healer support versus CC, almost rather just have a straight DPS at times.
Buff Class- Dont need it,
Tank Class- Got a couple, (perhaps need a couple).
DPS have..
Synergetic DPS or what about resource allocator -- True Healer lol.. pipe dreams, yeah I dunno if this game really needs another class.
What about an Evil Class = P Death Knight?

I'm mainly like a rework of the UI, and more varied content would be nice.
I'd rather not have more classes or more skills. I'd rather have the current ones balanced better first.
