I'm not sure about you guys but I find the worst part about speed farming is constantly having to pick up blues and yellows to keep mats. While this weekend's bonus is helping I think it's about time we get an option to loot everything that drops or even give us an item that allows auto pick up. Would be a great pair with Avarice Band (Or could even just change Avarice band to do such a thing). What do you guys think.
notyouagain2: Hi. Do you think it would be possible to add an option to auto pick up crafting mats in the future?
Wyatt Cheng: We want to retain a sense that the crafting mats are real items. We have found that when something becomes auto-pickup, you often don't even notice when you get it or not. We added vacuum pickup to alleviate how much clicking you need to pick everything up (particularly after killing Gelatinous Sires!).

I see what they are saying but at the same time isn't that kinda hypocritical? Wasn't gold something you had to pick up when Diablo 3 was released? I could be wrong but I remember having to pick up gold when the game released.

I think that may have been the case in beta. For sure there was the Scroll of Companion that summoned a little pet to pick up gold for you.

Gold was always automatically picked up in D3 since that change was a direct upgrade from D2. The gold pickup pets walked over to it for you to pick it up so you didn't even have to move to it for double the convenience.

I myself love the ideal ...
