Thats the hero setup and build for this. Just missing the focus and restraint in that link cause they are on my WW at the moment. Just ensure that you have enough pools on that build. I'm using Bane of the trapped, Pain Enhancer and Bane of the Powerful. An other option could be Taeguk instead of the powerful, but when i do solo rofts i'm to lazy to keep up the stacks of the taeguk.
I do a 51/52 Rift within 3 Minutes relating to the Mobdensity with this build.
Thanks for sharing
Hmmm... I need quite a few pieces of gear to match that (including a better gavel, mine has RCR instead of VIT). I am 3/8 ancient armour pieces.
Will try to get some party GR60's see if I can get better gear and keep fowling the GRs for now 50bn/h would be amazing!
Said that solo 'speedfarm' builds are really gear intensive, ancient weapon(s) are pretty much a must (if you don't have a ton of paragon points already to make up for the loss) and require high VIT and/or serious damage mitigation to avoid random one-shots (which add to clear times and make you lose pool).
This is the monk build I used to chain GR50s. Is essentially an attempt to Quin's generator monk:
I don't have the gear or the time to push GR69+ solo but would quick and easily clear GR50. You can replace Inner Sanctuary with Dashing Strike for extra mobility. I was just playing it lazy last time I used that toon.
Gems, stat preferences etc you can check on Quin's post. In my experience is OK to use CHC/CDR or CHC/CHD on rings in circa 50 GRifts. Of course the higher you go the more the AD shines, but for speedfarm is all right.
Caveat: Generator monk is carpal tunnel wrenching, which is why I ditched it for speedfarming. Not as bad as zDPS used to be, but still is not a laid back relaxed playstyle.
Never tried the Ulianas Monk Setup for solo. Sadly the monk gameplay died for me with classic.
In my experience for 'farming' you need a build that can do it as hassle free as possible, because you are going to be doing it a lot!; and the only way to do that is pick a build with an undemanding playstyle and over-gear it.
I used the Danetta build for T8/bounties until I had my chicken up and running
I can vouch for that one... Using Omryn's Chain in cube also triggers BotT (and mobs do not bother you during those bounties where you only want to get from A to B as fast as possible.)
A few variations are possible to adapt to your playstyle/preferences but is generally fast and very laid back.
For deaths breath/gr key farm i usually go ulainas build, madstone/gundos and instead of fist i go In-geom. I usually run t8 or t9 so i can oneshot the elitpacks with one SSS. Then i simply spamm dash until i find another. Its probobly not the fastest key farm since you skip alot of white mobs. But its really fast DB farm.
Its also a rly fun spec to play with dash and sss without cd during in-geom proc (wich is up most of the time)
Ww beat everything. Marathon/chik belt/armsguard/wrath of lightnin/bk weapons=gg
You'd still just manage to see the feathers of my tail disappearing beyond the horizon my friend *cluck* *cluck*
The angry chicken is quick, but you really don't kill anything DURING the moving, mostly at the end. I used to play a crusader that spam steed charge with the In-geom, but when I changed to a WW barb, it was a huge improve.
You kill during your moving, and even after (due to tornados). The best part is that you don't need the in-geom and the continous searching for elites/blues. You just WW till the end of the rift and only need to clic to pick the legendaries.
P.S. I am not English and I tried to be polite, so please be cool ;-)

I was disappointed with the WW barb build. Perhaps my gear was sub-optimal, but any time I gained in the rift killing trash as I went through I lost to the RG with the appalling single target damage.
Besides elites with nasty affixes were an absolute pain. With chicken I barely notice the difference between affixes. With the explosion's CC by the time they land I have SW+SH and at least 2 FWs out. In the next 3 seconds they are all gone. They are lucky to get an arcane beam or a wall out before I send them to an early grave.
And I don't need in-geom either. I cube The Furnace. With GI and a few pickup radius points I barely notice my cooldowns. The only time I miss in-geom is perhaps on the occasional pack of goblins in T10, where it takes me slightly longer because I cannot carpet the floor with FWs unless there is a good bunch of trash mobs around. Said that if I would try to do that I would probably lag to the stone age
And in bounties I can clear the Plague Tunnels and start finding my way to Adria before a WW barb manages to finish Maghda off
Either way, is about having fun. Maybe because I played Jade for a long time the play style of chicken resonates more with me. If you love WW barb, amazing nothing better than finding a build you really like for farming

I used to main a WD in season 2 and I change to crusader because the lack of fast movement. After your words, I watched some videos, and I have to admit that the chicken is very, very fast. You are right, with the hex changes and the new legendary you don't need the In-geom. Good point. The only problem I see is that if you want to do high GRs, you need to change to another build, new items, etc.
I am very lazy now, and the best thing of the WW barb is that the farming and the GR builds are very similar (and I saw a guy doing a 72 solo barb GR). Anyway, after this talk, I am tempted to remove the dust of my old WD and give it a try ;-)
Thanks for the talk. Good luck and happy farming!

Yeah... Any HT build is definitely NOT group friendly. HT lag is a thing, it really is. Which means the entire set and ancillary are useless for this purpose.
Besides the build itself is not useful for pushing GR.
You can however equip Scrimshaw + TotD (Zombie Bears) or SuWong Diviner (Acid Cloud) for pushing solo GR. However past GR62 is hell. If the rift is any good the lag will obliterate you. Pushing GR in off-peak times helps a bit, but the problem is still there.
On the other hand as you point out WW gear can be used in group easy. I have seen many 4 player coop parties with a HotA and a WW barb, and the main difference was the weapons (the guy was using VIT and AD on them, no CDR or iAS).
Horses for courses I guess. I play solo and I am a bit of a conformist (kind of a pre-requisite this is to play solo in D3 without getting frustrated at every step) so WD suits me quite well
I wana thank you guys for your responses, with them I have mostly figured out my gameplan, and a special thanks to Desolacer as I was in the process of setting up a DH and your post was very helpful for getting started.

I was looking for a little bit of general information on what the fastest speed rift build is for solo play, I assume its the WW barb...
That said if so, are there any builds that even come close to it ?
What build would be the fastest for a monk?
Again this all assumes solo play. Thanks for any responses.

Hmmm... interesting... Could you share a few pointers on build/playstyle please?
I am doing 3min GR47s at the moment with my HT/Manajuma chicken build but my exp/h is not really as high as yours.
Besides I have no previous experience with barb except Raekor build w/Vile Ward, a playstyle I never found agreeable...
Thanks for sharing

@OP for Monk, non-season, I'd say generator build is the fastest atm.
I do not play seasons myself, but this one apparently is fast TX capable, so it should be good for GR45-47.

I'd have liked to have seen your solo hota build Nachten but all I get is a 404 error :/
Nevermind , got it sorted after a bit of messing around , thanks
