what i've read (on this site) is that with 5% CC your uptime on BP should be about 50%...which equals 50% CC chance. It frees up alot of stat slots on your gear but you're right, it does feel strange.
Having no crits feels akward, and don't translate well for other builds.
And waiting for the frost buff (just after physical) and explode the massive pack you made is so awesome
It's IMO also more reliable. Even if I never tried borken promises myself, it's still a "if it procs" a simple bad crit can shit your DPS at the wrong time. While convention of elements proc is a fixed rotation. Every 24 seconds you know you gonna have a MASSIVE explosion and can play around it more easily.
But again I'm probably biased since currently playing COE and liking it.
I'm still trying to decide if using broken promises is worth it? What do you guys think? Having 5% CC feels.... strange.
