So here are some of my ideas I believe will improve D3 gaming experience; what do you think?
1. All public game: no hits for 6 minutes will result in auto-kick. warning at 3,4,5.
pro: no more leechers or useless party mates!
2. Bounties: public game no longer open after 3 out of 5 bounty quests are completed.
pro: no more just-entered-game, rewarded players!
3. Save bounty and rift progress (locked to same difficulty at "Resume")
pro: no need to repeat after server disconnect or logging out.
4. Icon to access all characters' inventory. <image provided>
pro: better orginising system. easy swap items between characters especially for players with two wizards, two barbs, etc, shared equips or mules. no more long sessions of switching. It'll be simple, less time-consuming, less stress! Sorting out your space will become more enjoyable. http://i.imgur.com/pUs4KYf.gifv (safe link)
5. Items reflected back out due to full backpack, NO LONGER visible to other players.
pro: your leg/set loot won't get taken by other players when your bag slots are occupied unknowingly.
6. Show the latency meter of every player in the party next to their icon. <image provided>
pro: better understanding. ie. when a lagging player just appears to stand about, leave suddenly (:disconnected) or poor gameplay, alternating movement. http://i.imgur.com/2QtKEOi.jpg (safe link)
7. Three [Fiery Brimstones] can be constructed into 1 [Forgotten Stone] by interacting with the blacksmith. Same to other lower crafting materials.
pro: level 60 legendaries and sets as well as their materials will no longer be useless. Especially for those who had played without RoS for quite a while and have gathered many good equips of level 60 and below. Point: No more useless old achievements. RoS is an expansion, not an entirely different parallel world. Meaningless progress doesn't help. It's supposed to grow and preserve everything from when you were zero. Maybe not in the same form, that's why I came up with this.
8. Better basic Hatred regen/capacity for DH.
pro: DH, without godly equips, are struggling, not because their attacks are weak, but their hatred is running out at the speed of light, so badly that no matter how good their damage and defense are, DH are bound to die as soon as their hatred dries out. DH are forced to tank monsters longer than they should be if they could attack and finish them off. This will change if #8 is worked on.
9. Goblin drops are only visible to party mates who are present in the same area at the time it was killed.
The vault portal, however, is visible to all party members who have at least laid any damage on any enemy in the last minute.
pro: no more teleporting for loots.
10. Close rifts made individual. Closed just for you.
pro: some players like to finish rifts until the last level, which is smart because it generally gives better loots, more elites, monster density, the best place to farm and level up. But some people are not aware of this or for personal reasons have to quit the game. It's however unfair to allow any player make the decision making, disregarding three others. Close your rift, get reward, leave game without interrupting the rift gameplay of other party members as they stay is the way to go.
11. Smaller Gelatinous Sire made visible on map on a larger vision scope.
pro: It's hard enough that they run toward different directions, making them effortless to go unnoticed. Applying this will give players more hope and chance to slay them all.
Feel free to give feedbacks! You are welcome to share your ideas as well -selectively will be added in quote to main post. I will then forward this to the official forum. Hopefully the mods/devs will take this into consideration.

EDIT:
12. [D3 consoles] Bloodshards of any amount can be picked up to maximum capacity, and the rest stay on the ground until player gets back to them; just as the PC version. ~Quidam67 (will remove at request)
5. Items reflected back out due to full backpack, NO LONGER visible to other players.
pro: your leg/set loot won't get taken by other players when your bag slots are occupied unknowingly.
Is this a thing? I cannot say I have ever encountered this, but are you sure another player can pickup an UN'id item that dropped for you? If so, that is a bit of an oversight, never even crossed my mind.

Similarly with bloodshards. full, and they fall back out. a party mate tried to pick the stacks up but shards are account bound so they fell back down again. As for legs/sets, I wasn't paying great attention but I suspect it has happened to me several times. Legs and sets looted in a party is trade-able among members for a short period of time. So yes, another player can pick them up. The question is, if rejected items are visible to all at all. So just in case, since I'm not sure myself, I wrote it down. Nothing to lose.
Pretty sure they're not visible as I can see my son's screen when I drop something like that and there's nothing. Maybe there's a timer or something where they become visible, don't know.
If he dropped one for being over loaded, the image would even pop on my map, it doesn't.
1) No. We have vote kick for that. At the start of the season (even more in hardcore) you want a tank in the group so you can push higher, getting items faster. Same for greater rift. Tanks would be kicked that way. Use the intended vote kick option.
2) Very selfish. If there is an open spot, there's only 3 people in there. They might just have finished 1 bounty each when #4 enters. He will still do a bit in that run. Also, even when you clear it on your own, would it really be that bad that someone gets a "free" cache? If it's someone sitting in town the entire run, that's leeching. Entering a party that's (almost) done is just luck. And can happen to you!
3) Not a bad idea, but... What if you were in a party? Do you HAVE to wait for everyone in the party to rejoin? Or does everyone get a new instance of that progress? Example: do all 25 bounties in a game with 4 people, they all "disconnect" (close down D3), reconnect, get a finished game with 5 caches waiting (4 times, because you can't wait until the other people come back online), and invite 3 other friends each. Suddenly 16 people get 5 caches, from only 4 people doing it. If not everyone gets his own party, either you might have to wait all night for someone to rejoin the party, or that person does not get his progress, making your suggestion not work. Either way, it wont work
4) Characters are characters. You can quickly check what they have equiped (shift-p->heroes->select hero->inspect). The fact that you use them as a mule (not made for that!) doesn't change anything. Ask for more stash space, would fix the same problem.
5) Eum, not sure... Unless you drop something, other players don't get to see it, even when you try to pick it up and your inventory is full. Ofcourse, if you want that items on the floor first, so drop something from your inventory to pick up the new thing, others can pick up the thing you dropped. Just go to town, salvage, go back and pick up the new items. Never drop anything you want (either to use or salvage).
6) More info is always good. Don't really see a lot of use in it myself, but having it wouldn't hurt (unless it generates new performance issues).
7) Lot of work for nothing. Expansion is out for over 1 year. The amount of people coming from "vanilla" to ROS these days, not playing season, is very low to 0. The amount of legendaries you get while levelling to 60 is so low, you wouldn't really use it (don't think I got 20 legs 1-60). After that, the droprate is so high, you'll soon have plenty souls. Time can be used for better things.
8) Can't comment, never played DH without sets.
9) Why is teleporting for loot bad? Sounds like the selfish mentality from point 2 again: I found it, I killed it, it's mine. Loot is not shared in this game. Other people getting items does not decrease your drops in anyway, and they can't "steal" your drops.
10) Not sure if full clears are smart, as you say. While it may look like they give more loot/elites/... after killing the guardian, this is mainly because there is more to clear after than before. The droprate and everything is the same. Considering you get shards from the boss, closing after killing him will give you MORE legendaries/hour. Full clears are only better if you are low on keys, since you get more drops/key. As for the vote: you can simply ask at the start "full clear?". If not everyone says yes, just leave and look for other people. And people that say yes to your friendlist and play with friends. Also, what would you do with 2 yes and 2 no votes? Close or continue?
11) I think they show on the minimap, and it feels right to me. Again, more information normally is better, but I don't see the problem you are trying to solve.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure other players cannot take possession of Un'id legs.
Just a small of small quality of life enhancement I'd like to see in relation to bloodshards (while i think of it):
When the shards dropped exceed your current capacity I thnk it would be great if it just picked up what you can carry and dropped the rest. Failing that, it would be nice to know what the capacity of the shards that have been dropped are before they have been picked up so you know exactly how much to gamble with kadala to make enough room.
Amazingly enough, it already does just that. If you can carry 500 shards, and you have 400, you'll pick up 100 and the rest stay on the ground until you come back or them.
Unless you're on console, and then I haven't a clue.

1. There is a reason why I suggested an auto kick. Not everyone realises that you are kicking an AFK player even after mentioned before voting because everyone's busy with the mobs. I can say because it has happened several times before. "Let's vote again. I didn't know X is afk". Heard this as much. On top of that, some players still insist to keep an AFK party member in the team.
2. Selfish? Do you even know what that means? Your ignorance offfended me. It's called justice and fair play. Do you think it's selfish if you earn the money on a job you did? Seriously? What if I get your salary for the office tasks you did? Do YOU think you're selfish to try to correct it?
3. Of course not. The caches can be randomised with the conditions that applied.
4. No. It's different. I was aware that I could just ask for a bigger stash. But that's not going to fix the problem to the roots. Having able to organise both your inventory and stash is much more efficient. Imagine if you had placed a certain item and you are looking for it within 12 characters. Logging in and out of game simultaneously is a bother. Also I've realised that there are not little players who spent A LOT of their time sorting the stash and whatnot. Not everyone is like you. Some people are neat, have OCD, obsessed, etc. They will be able to enjoy the game better if this is realised.
5. DUH. everyone doesn't ALWAYS notice their backpack is full. Do you think they do not know how to salvage items or that they need to spare a room in their inventories? Especially in a fast paced party, or hoarders. Things like that do happen. And I just need to make sure it's not possible for other players to take anyone's loots, whether or not it is already applied.
6. You're worried for nothing. I don't see how adding a small indicator will cause a performance issue..
7. ....A lot of people actually ask and complain about the useless brimstones. And so I came up with this because I have over 60 (edit* over 100) brimstones myself, and I believe there are over a handful of people out there who have even more.
8. -
9. The drop is randomised. And making teleporting pointless isn't just to stop other members to teleport to your place. But that also means YOU, WE, US, ourselves do not have to teleport around to loot for the goblins someone else killed. You need to open your mind. Pretty damn narrow minded and rude. Your mentality is what has to change.
10. 2/2=continue. People benefit more by finishing rift levels whether or not you realise and acknowledge that. Your lack of experience will not change a simple fact.
11. You don't because your mindset only revolves around you. "I don't see the problem". because you don't and so everyone else in the world doesn't have the problem?? Really? If anyone in this thread is selfish, that would be you and your passive-agressive, fault-finding, self-centred point of view. I didn't make suggestions according to your needs and wants. I made it for everyone. Unless you mature up, you'll just keep on attacking everything I say.

Well I usually just spent more on Kadala than I should before going back to pick up shards. I believe it is more disturbing to have to go back to town itself and interact with Kadala during fun big mobs just to save your shards. It's like we're missing out. It'd be very convenient if we could have more that 500 shards to bottle up. Sometimes I wonder why the shards are limited to half a K, unlike gold.

Yes, I'm on Console, and if the amount on the ground exceeds your total capacity it will not pick any of them up, whcih is a headache. If it does not work like that on PC I am really confused why it works like that on console. Strange.

Oh wow. As a PC player, I didn't know that. I reread your earlier post and it seemed I've misunderstood the details due to skimming. I'll add that to the list if you don't mind. "12. ----
1) As I explained, there are situations where someone NOT killing is wanted (tank). Auto kicking those people would damage group setups for at least public Grifts, and T6 at the start of the season. Having such an option in game because the vote kick is not fool-proof during battle and it is too much effort to start a 2nd vote kick if it goes wrong... Not sure. As for someone that allows a leecher/afker in the game: that would make it 50% of the party to allow it (the guy leeching, and the guy declining vote kick), so it's "fair"
2) Well, if you wanna go that way: I do work in a team, I get paid for my job. If someone in my team is sick, he doesn't do anything that day. Still, he gets paid. It's not like I make LESS because of that, everyone gets his own share. There is an open spot in your game, someone enters, is lucky, gets a free cache. It's not like you loose anything over it (yours will still drop the very same items as it would solo, 2, 3 or 4 people party). If you want, consider the guy lucky on the lotto. And you can be lucky as well.
3) I don't get what you mean with randomize (sorry, can you explain further?). How I see it, if you save a state, either you get all caches (it is saved) or you don't (not saved), and it is impossible to prevent abusing it if it is saved. Maybe you got another way that would still save it while not being able to abuse it.
4) I do keep my stash and inventory clean. Main reason why there are items on chars is because of limited stash space and no good way to order items. If that would be fixed, the problem will solve itself. A way to search for an item (by entering the name and showing all you have) would be easier than going over all 12 slots trying to look for that 1 items, for example. But ok, I can see it being useful. Was not trying to say it is a bad concept, I was trying to say there are better ways, and this is somewhat the easy way out for blizzard.
5) If you pick everything up, there will always be a point where you either stop playing to salvage, decide to not pick up the new items, or drop old items (for others to grab) before picking up the new. I was not explaining there is limited inventory space. I was explaining that new dropped items can not be picked up by other player. So, the thing you suggest here, is a fix for a problem that does not exist.
6) I'm always worried when they implement something new. Apart from bugs, it can give performance issues (look up info on the new file system giving random stutter for a lot of people). Waiting for external data (the ping) to display info in the game can give issues. But as I said, more info is always good, so I like the idea.
7) Ok, even if people are in this situation, it's not like your lvl20 items would suddenly be good at lvl60+, making them salvage into something you can combine to make epic loot for top level feels like a bit of cheating. Everything under lvl70 (items) is worthless, why would it be different for crafting materials?
8) -
9) Again, "I killed the gobling, even while other people are helping me getting my caches faster and are unlucky to be in another zone, I KILLED IT, the loot is mine". You don't get less when other people get loot as well... Let people teleport around for loot. At end game, people often ignore the goblin anyway, only bloodshards are wanted (from my experience). Also, they already don't drop if they were in another zone, so if you kill fast enough they don't get anything either way, if that matters that much to you. Oh, and we don't have to teleport around, we CAN if we want. Options...
10) 2/2 continue is not a fair vote. Also, completing a grift end up less items/hour, because less bloodshards. Full run gives you more items/key. If you would account the key farming, you might be right on full clear. But keyfarming is done for the items as well (act 1 ring), stacking up keys for many people. Those people want to do fast rifts. Normally I don't come with number, but with over 6k hours in the game, all achievements done, and regularly ranking on the leaderboards, I don't think I'm inexperienced...
11) Well, you can call me selfish, but I really don't see a problem with those goblins, and didn't see forum posts about them before. +I confirmed again that more info is good...
1) No. We have vote kick for that. At the start of the season (even more in hardcore) you want a tank in the group so you can push higher, getting items faster. Same for greater rift. Tanks would be kicked that way. Use the intended vote kick option.

----
1) As I explained, there are situations where someone NOT killing is wanted (tank).
1. No kills = auto kick? Fine, Scratch that. I agree it would be too much for a tanker to get one kill every now and then while doing their tanking job. Make that a "hits. No hits result to auto kick.
2. I have a strong justice sense if it's not obvious already. No work no money. No work no rewards. Simple as that. The values I hold pretty much goes around it. And with your "it doesn't bother me so it's k and everyone should be OK too" is way too inconsiderate. I don't feel I deserve a reward I didn't work for. It just isn't right. Allowing things like this slip will make a direct impact on attitude and cultural behaviour, leading on a greater issue. And then people be questioning why this generation are rude hell spawns.
3. Cache will write 2/5 challenge completed, namely: y, z. At resume it doesn't have to be the same game, all is new but satisfies the condition where two out of five was done. The entire progress isn't saved. The completion per quest does. You'll still lose some progress but not everything and the minor lost is easier to catch up.
4. Yeah I partied someone who had to char swap back and forth to find the gears he was looking for. I do this too
sometimes. It's almost sad I could relate to his stress. Gaming isn't supposed to cause more stress.
5. As I said, I just needed to make sure. Like telling your mum not to put sugar in the coffee. "no sugar" "ya I know son" "yeah just to make sure" gets?
6. Okay
7. Actually same need to be done to the other lower crafting materials. Yes. Why? Because that's your achievements your stepping stones to get where you are. You don't throw your silver medal after you get your gold do you? Cause kids don't forget how to crawl after they walk. It's only natural. Expansion is expansion. The way it is now, RoS is like a whole new parallel world where you go back to zero. Again, not everyone played RoS as soon as they hit sixty. Are your gears in cap70 valuable? That's just how valuable their cap60 items are. And you worked Hard to collect them. But then one day you decide to get expansion and suddenly everything you cherished become utter rubbish, everything that took you months and months or even years to build is now nothing? What would you do? How would you feel?
8. -
9. Eliminating options makes things simpler. As in, would you personally teleport to someone who just killed blood thief gob in T6? You want it but you had to take the chance of going there only to find nothing? Frankly, this gamble is a waste of time. I want players to disregard it completely to even try, or leave it without wondering nor regrets. We could just focus on what we're doing. Again, if there is any essence of selfishness on this thread, they all come from you. Bitter truth huh? You're making up your own unpleasant play and monologue lines. It's all in your head. "I KILLED IT, the loot is mine". In your head. Didn't even come across mine.
10. What do you get at the end of the rift anyway? some exp and a bit of gold. Now what do you lose if you didn't finish the last rift lvl? Good chance of elite kills, possible legs and sets, densemob kills, more gold, and a ton of fun. Which one do you think worth more? Or should we just make closing rifts an individual thing? Close your own rift and get your rewards, you can't go back in while the others stay. This might actually work better.
11. Okay.
----
discussing this with you has helped enhance the former suggestion list, to below:
1. Lay no hits on enemy for 6 minutes will result in autokick. warning at 3,4,5.
10. Closing rifts made into an individual thing.
-----
p.s, Accepting that you are selfish doesn't allow you to call other the same without a solid basis. I excuse you for it because it may have just been a misunderstanding. But it's best you don't embrace your old way of thinking. Be a fixer and be a better person, inspire other. My motto.
PPS: No one, no matter what the situation, gets to tell anyone how to think...to presume so trashes everything you said after that...the problem with Ivory Towers I've learned is a pronounced lack of oxygen at the top.
Well, I did read the post 2 times before starting my first post, and read each point again at least once while replying. The entire post has a sound to it that you don't want leechers in any way (1 autokick on afk, 2 nobody enters when 60% done, 5 making double sure nobody gets your drop, 6 I count as half, because you want to be sure if it is latency or afk'ing/leeching, 9 nobody gets loot from a kill you worked on). This really makes it sound selfish (maybe my undestanding of the word is wrong, since I'm not English; google gave me: concerned chiefly with one's own personal profit or pleasure). When I do bounties, and there is an empty spot, I try to fill that before taking the cache. When I see a bloodshard goblin, I call out in chat before attacking him, so people can teleport in already. Sharing is caring
Oh, and I love this quote: "No work no money. No work no rewards." Guess you are against volunteering work, if not because you don't get money or reward for your work, someone will get some form of reward for your free work. Also nice for your friends to know they can always count on you, but not for free!
Anyway, I guess we agree to disagree, I made my point, you defended yourself, and I don't see a lot of other comments in this thread. So I'm gonna let this one go for now Good luck, did not want to insult you in anyway, sorry if I did. But in the end, I think I did succeed in what you wanted: discussing the points and make you change some suggestions

I'm convinced you still need to reevaluate your definition of selfish and how it is different from justice and fair.
You're just a rude troll. A very big one at that. You jump into the worst conclusions and accuse people of things you presume and UNTRUE. Work and Friendship don't come together. I fight for justice, and get rid of unfairness. Isn't that charity work in itself? Yet you think I made them up to benefit myself....little do you know that works the same for everyone else. You learnt nothing til the end. I'd die for people I consider friends on any day whereas you attack people online with your immaturity. You can stop your passive-agressiveness, and don't bother saying sorry after baselessly insulting me again. What an arse.

12. [D3 consoles] Bloodshards of any amount can be picked up to maximum capacity, and the rest stay on the ground until player gets back to them; just as the PC version. ~Quidam67 (will remove at request)

I hope you are right. I'm keeping number 5 until tested
BurningRope#1322 (US~HC) Request an invite to the official (NA) <dfans> Clan

What? Me worry?
----
Well I usually just spent more on Kadala than I should before going back to pick up shards.
"12. [D3 consoles] Bloodshards of any amount can be picked up to maximum capacity, and the rest stay on the ground until player gets back to them; just as the PC version."
My motto.
