I just found a video of a leaked conversation between the developers that explains what happened yesterday night. It might shed some light on this issue (or not).
Edit: Moved from this thread, as I feel bad for derailing the discussion. On a more serious note, it's a video thread and to be d'accord with the rules here a short summary:
This is a satiric video in which, inspired by the recent popularity of a new meme, I try to bring a smile on some people's face that seemed a bit too much worried about barbarians being nerfed by the removal of the bracers just a day before the patch hit. The bracers had to be removed though as they were too strong and barbarians should be in a good spot anyways; if not, Blizzard will address this (see John Yang's tweet). What was really very unfortunate was the timing of the removal; many people don't follow Blizzard news that closely but have heard about the bracers and might keep gambling for them.

Excuse me, WHAT? You got banned for WHAT? I thought the dev team had some humor... well, it seems like I crossed a line here. The Reddit thread got deleted, and the thread on the official forums gets tons of downvotes. Whatever.

Yeah, it's getting silly. I just got banned as well, not for the video or anything though. Apparently getting angry at annoying "Get rekt Barb" posts from other classes is too much.
I have to say I was disappointed as well, but as a casual player I was able to go from doing 35-38 GR to doing 44 with the changes to IK, so for me, it was a net win.

I donno man, I got lucky enough to get a pair of them yesterday on console before they were removed... and they are kinda lifechanging (as in you live when you are in WOTB)
I don't get this meme? Been seeing it a lot in relation to D3 meme's, and I simply cannot stand even looking at that toothless Spaniard for 3 seconds, let alone listening to his cackling idiot voice. Why in hells name is this popular?
The actual dialog was funny.....I guess, but I just can't stand looking at that weird dude for another second.
