The flaw in the logic is, that the set bonus activates already on the first hit. This is why you have to set a baseline without the set, with rings with the same stats (as pointed out in the comments on youtube, where you just replied that it doesn't matter).
Your first hit will be around 5.3m without the buff (and with the "baseline rings with similar stats"). Since the bonus is applied on first hit, it will show 8m.
This is what I understand from all the posts, what I already suggested in the very first reply in this very same topic, but I don't know for sure since I did not test it out.
However, with so many people saying this is the way it works, I will take this as the right answer until I can test it.
PS: I really appreciate you took the effort to try out every changed item and show the results. Mistakes happen, don't worry about it. However, please remember they can happen. When someone points out "a mistake", the easiest way to "settle" it is to make a follow up video, following the reasoning why your test was flawed (in this case: wrong baseline). This way, misinformation can be stopped/corrected (either the info you provide, or the wrong answer in the reply), and (at least for me) it would improve the connection with the viewerbase. Now it somehow feels like you are saying you are right and everyone else is wrong
Thanks - MC et all. MC - I've watched plenty of your vids, particularly your sader PTR content before sader was in the game, so I respect you. I did not realize (or test) that it was on first hit included. So if that's the case I think it will certainly be BiS for monk Raiment since you have to cycle.
That's a semi-insensitive thing to say. You've replied on Bnet Forums and Youtube comments that those who said that you were wrong needed proof, despite getting the same comments from SO MANY players that you were wrong. In turn, you (unintentionally) treated those people like a bunch of unworthy trolls.
On the bright side, you realized you were wrong. I'm not a skilled player or someone who likes to upload gameplay videos, but do take note that the next time you upload something (especially if you want many viewers), make sure you've done EXTENSIVE research about the topic. In addition, don't treat your critical viewers like a bunch of trolls. It's bad enough that Travis Day and Wyatt Cheng act like that in Tavern Talk.
Also please stop saying, "Please Thumbs Up" right at the start of a video. That only means you're horribly desperate for viewers.
PTR or Live, you should feel bad for the lack of "professionalism" and arrogant attitude, most of your videos are known information by vet players so they are useless for us anyway, but misleading the casuals that follow your videos and still saying that you couldn't care less about them really makes you look bad.

You being wrong has nothing to do with it being in PTR. You just have no clue how to test. This kind of attitude is just one of the many reasons why a lot of people hate you Dickhail. And this isn't the first time you were wrong in your videos/posts.
Now the responsible thing to do is to take down your video before it does any more harm.... but you'll probably just make a new one and blast the forums with your spam most likely
Mikhail maybe you could baseline it using something like Sweeping Wind on a boss. Then hitting a generator should bump that damage by 50%, then hit a spender and see it go up yet again.
Video proof? Would love to see it. My video confirms that's not the case.
I went back through the comments to your video and saw that you've copy/pasted this quote to everyone who disagrees with you. This level of arrogance is not at all endearing. What I want to know is, if video proof emerges that proves you failed to account for part of the buff, will you take the video down?

You should feel bad for spreading wrong information. That's on top of being close-minded whenever someone explains how the damn rings work. I saw lots and lots of comments and thread replies and you just dismissed them outright without even confirming if they were right. Now that you caved in to the sheer amount of criticisms, you say this. Don't be a sore loser - just own up your mistake, take down your video, and improve your next content.
I am surprised that no one has mentioned this, but doesn't this seem like an awful lot of babysitting cool downs? I mean you would have to babysit wrath, baby sit both of your shouts, baby sit your generator. Right now i just hold down the WW button and blow things up, this if fun. It seems like adding Focus and Restraint would not be very fun.
Great job. I appreciate the video proof showing that the original video was flawed d/t no control test.
Mikhail I appreciate your most recent comment on the original faulty YT vid indicating that you would need to retest. Unfortunately several of the original comments are extremely snotty and dismissive and I hope you didn't mean to come off that way. Would it be possible to delete them?

I was wrong. Sorry.
But it's PTR, so I don't feel THAT bad.

That's a good idea, thanks.

mikhails secretly just trying to get us to not use these rings so he can sneak up the leaderboards

Here is a video I made demonstrating the rings WORK perfectly fine, and apply damage on the FIRST hit, and both buffs apply to ALL damage.

Isn't the whole purpose of diablo to be a mindless point and click?
