hello, every active player of d3 knew how annoyng trials are.
So why not make them like achivment per character? If you made 35 trial key once - you can enter <=35 grifts as many times as you want with this character.
The nessesary of garthrign party for several hours just to farm keys at trials has no point, no logic, and boring as f**k
The trials problem would be fairly easy to solve. Either with just choosing the rift level from a drop down list or craft the key with the jewelcrafter/blacksmith.
Just be able to choose your highest cleared rift.
The problem is that blizzard do not want people to be able to just go in and choose their rift level to complete. They said so a little while back. They want higher rift levels to be harder to achieve than just choosing it from a list. But they also said that they understand that the current trials system is fubar and needs to go.
So basicly. We are gonna be stuck with trials for a long long time. Not something they gonna find a solution for any time soon
Well... trials. Topic never gets old. Even if hundreds of people demand a response, we get no response (see here). Or, as in the Tavern Talk, we just hear the same story over and over again, and "we're working on it". But at this point season 3 is going to leave many many people so frustrated that they'll do no or only very few Greater Rifts because trials are really the worst thing currently in the game. I defended trials for a long time, but enough is enough...
There's a million solutions out there, yet only baby steps by Blizzard and we won't see anything before patch 2.3, so we'll have to wait.
Trials are what makes me not run GR. These days i played a bit of D3 because i had a itch to do some farming but when i wanted to level up a new Legendary Gem i remembered that as soon as i finish my GR keys i need to do more trials.... no thanks.
Trials are just boring and i still have no idea how they calculate the key after you are done with it.... Sometimes i do better than the previous run and i get a lower key, other times i do worse and i get a higher one.... What the fuck? -.-
They could just make us choose the level we want to play based on the highest rift we cleared, if we beat our record... YOU ARE A WINNER (pun intended) you can start from here the next time if you wish.... but this suggestion is as old as the GR release...
This rant was brought you by: "Suspension Points. Make your senteces float!"

It has probably to do with the gem upgrading being available when you reach 100%, even if the timer has run out. They should make that conditional just like the key stone upgrade, then there is no reason to not be able to just pick your difficulty from a menu.
The difficulty should not be getting to the rift, it should be completing the rift...

It is very simple but blizzard does a poor job of conveying all sorts of information in the game's ui. Ignore the wave count on the right, it is only there to confuse people. What actually matters is the lvl of the wave which is displayed slightly above center screen when the wave starts. Your key will be whatever lvl wave you fail on minus a value depending on the # of players you did the trial with.
solo = wave lvl - 3
2 ppl = wave lvl - 4
3 ppl = wave lvl - 5
4 ppl = wave lvl - 6
The way I see it, blizz doesn't want to let us avoid trials because then we will fish for god mode rifts even more. The solution to that is simply to BALANCE RIFTS but they are too slow/lazy at doing that either. It's pretty silly that certain mobs are especially easy and worth huge progress (unburied), certain maps have insanely high density (spires), and certain rg's have incredibly low hp with easy mechanics (stonesinger). Most greater rift balance can be done by simply tweaking numbers (cut down the maximum number of poison clouds voracity can spawn for fuck sake) but blizz is slow to fix anything in d3, even exploits have existed for months and abused on streams without any action until it becomes the norm for everyone (leaving games to gear swap for rg in s1 for instance).

Thanks for the info
