I really like the clans and communities and many other things that came with the big patch. I guess I don't mind BOA to much but I'd really like to see us able to trade within our clan. Being in the military makes it hard to get online with the clan members so therefore when I get legs that my clan members could use or vice versa they are usually not in the game with me. I'm sure the people who find a way to exploit this would find a way to exploit it but I'd still like to see something added along these lines. Once again though, good job on the patch!!
Yeah that would be pretty cool for me too. I'm gonna miss some trading, even with all the benefits that come from having BoA in the game.
But I don't think the developers are going to change their minds now. They're pretty much set in stone for release. Maybe once RoS hits, people play it for a couple months and the majority of the feedback is that people want some sort of trading back, then they might change their minds. But until then... =/
I was a huge supporter of clan trading before 2.0.1.
But a couple of weeks after it has been released, I completely changed my mind. I don't like the idea of clan trading at all. I see sooooo many legendaries being looted in our clan, it would be almost like the AH - I have absolutely no emotional connection to that item and get it from a player I might have never played with, may have never talked to, and may not have even known before the trade. It's going back to third party trading.
In smaller clans it could work - absolutely; but then, the very nature of clan trading would encourage every clan to grow up to its limit to have a larger pool of legendaries to trade around.
So... clan trading? Absolutely big no-no for me.
What I would like to see, however, is something like friends list trading; not necessarily being able to trade every legendary to everyone on your friends list, but maybe you can just directly send a legendary as a present to one of your friends. Something like that. But I guess that's not the nature of the topic (how to make better use of the clan feature). I personally think clans are in a good spot right now; I've rarely done a solo run on anything, there are always people to co-op with. That's all I wanted from clans, people to talk to and to play with.
Clan trading was brought up so many months ago. I remember writing a thread back in August about clan features and trading. These aren't radical changes, but if anyone is hoping for trade to come back anytime soon, don't hold your breath. The compromise is we have a 2 hour trade window with our in game party.
I want trading to come back, but I just don't think it will happen anytime soon, or even at all
I like the idea of clan trading but it can't be a free for all, too much chance for abuse. I think that clan trading with the current 2 hour window might work.
They should just do it how they do it now, except extend it to clan. Anybody who was a member of the clan when the item dropped should be eligible for trade with that item. Retain the two hour window too.
That way you can't 'abuse' it by inviting someone to the clan to trade with them after the item dropped. It could be seen as an insentive to join larger clans too.

And may the odds be ever in your favour.
