I looked around and I couldn't find any information on the topic. Will the Console version have the option/ require an Authenticator attached to the account? If there is info on it can you please share the link? Thanks in advance.
The authenticator is a feature of your Battle.Net account, not just your Diablo 3 PC game. Since the console version will not be connected to your Battle.Net account, there is no authenticator. And there will definitely not be any authenticator requirement (there isn't even one on PC, though really everyone should use one by now).
(Please someone correct me if I said something that is incorrect; I'm not following console news as closely as it doesn't interest me much).
Probably not. It's based on your PSN / local account and not battle net. If they want to hack your account they would need to access your local machine (somehow remotely get in ), our screw with your cloud save (which can probably be restored from the local copy).
Also, with no AH and the ability to just hack your own account, there is no incentive for farmers and hackers.
That is what I thought, but I just wanted to make sure thanks for the info. Because it would be a hassle trying to enter a Timed code on a PS3 or an XBox.
