Being a member of the diablo community and greatly enjoying the game even though at times it can seem lack luster I was curious as to see some ideas for the future of RoS that some fellow players have, reasonable ideas preferred of course.
I would also like to state this isn't a post in which I'm creating to spark complaints across the forums for we all know that the loot system of RNG can be harsh sometimes but it is the way the game is.
Here are some ideas I have thought of while just sitting around:
More weekends with special events similar the the EXP weekend that they sometimes have such as possibly increased gold drops for the weekend or possibly like set legendaries have equal drop percentages as normal legendaries. Just more special weekends to add spice and an increased farm incentive opposed your usual farming routes and there is probably a lot more that can be done with this.
Of course all want to see more cool legendaries like Shard of Hate, Thunderfury and other proc build items added to the game.
For those who play multiple classes implement a drop box for the smart loot system to drop loot for other classes (risky because high chance to be abused in four man parties).
I would like to see more ideas that the community has, Diablo 3 has came a long way since release and is in a much better place in my opinion since the 2.0 drop and Smart Loot system and RoS will continue to get better as the kinks are worked out by the development team. Share the ideas and good luck in the hunt for Legos!
Thats some pretty good ideas. I know it will never happen but I'd love to see a feature where the community could create and submit custom maps. That would extend the life of the game substantially.
This struck me as odd, why would you want to have the possibility to get items like a Dex rolled mighty weapon with a + mana resource roll? what will is serve.
By disabling smart loot you will get a lot more random and shity loot that aren't coherent at all.
As for OPs post, more events and temporaty loot and EXP buffs. would be nice indeed.
and more proc legendaries in more diffrent slots would be nice as long as they dont synergise to much and there are atleast 2-3 items per slot so that we have some diversity

I like this idea, assuming you have already leveled one of the class you are rolling. The current leveling excercise allows for learning skills., but is useless once you already know how they work.

I'm not against leveling a class again that I already have. I haven't touched my witch doctor in a long time so I am thinking about leveling an new one to get a feel for the class again.

Disabling Smart Loot doesn't mean having class items with random main stats. A mighty weapon will always be a Barbarian weapon stat wise, maybe it won't roll Str at all, like now, but it won't have Dex or Int.
Smart Loot just means the gear you find will be for your class.
I'd love to get the ability to take a sub-70 legendary and convert it to the game's current max level. You'd lose the old item, and get a new max level version like it just dropped. Would make leveling alts a bit more fun, I reckon

I'm pretty sure that's not actually a feature of smart loot. I'm pretty sure the base itemization has been changed such that, smart drops or not, those particular combinations are no longer possible.
In fact, if you look at almost every legendary, it can't roll multiple primary stats. If you look at a legendary hand crossbow, you'll notice it cannot roll str/int at all. This means that certain changes to itemization have NOTHING to do with smart loot.

-Paragon system: Gold find changed to gold pick up.
Witch Doctor (my main) ideas to improve build diversity:
- Direbats will deal 530% weapon damage as fire for 90 mana per cast.
- Cloud of bats now returns 3% of its damage as life.
-Flame dart now has a 9 yards aoe.
-Explosive beast can now pierce and consumes 90 mana per cast.
- All runes of corpse spiders can now leap, the old leaping spiders is now called knock back spiders(strongarm bracers ftw).
- Enemies charmed by Phlebotomize now takes 20% more damage from all sourcers.
- Manitou is now affected by Tasker and theo
- Corpse bomb consumes 100 mana per cast.
- Jungle drums increases the duration of Big Bad voodo to 50 seconds.
Witch doctor items:- Last breath now grants the paranoia effect to all runes of mass confusion.
-The Spider Queen’s Grasp now makes your spider queen last forever.
-The Gidbinn increases fetish sycophants chance to proc by 1~2%
