So it looks like a VAST majority of people really love their gear swapping and want the process to be made easier with a one button swap. In addition to mf swap, there are also other legitimate reasons a gear swap system would add to the depth of the game. So all in all, it looks like it would be in blizzard's best interest to implement one button gear swapping, that's fine.
However, the consequence of such a system is the devaluation of the mf stat due to how easy it is for most people to swap in max mf sets before kills with little risk. Here is the second part of the solution to counter that.
Have a counter of non-elite mobs killed in a run. Increase the chance of a rare/legendary dropping from NON-elite mobs as this counter gets higher. Once a rare/legendary drops, reset this counter and start over. Obviously, mf would affect this chance of rare/legendary drop off the non-elite mobs. This very simple change will give a very nice incentive for people to seek mf stat on their main gear. Having high mf on at all times would increase the rares off non elite kills. Everyone who chooses not to have mf on their main gear still get to swap in for nice mf bonus on all elite packs. EVERYONE wins. Please discuss.
Instead of implementing a system that punishes one group of players or the other, this system rewards both groups of players.
Edit: I just realized this might encourage players to farm a bunch of non-elite mobs to exploit the system. Simply limit the bonus rares dropped from this system to one per nv stack/ elite pack killed so it encourages normal play.
P.S. I tried posting this on diablo 3 official, but it got pushed of the first page in 3 minutes and no one read it so I thought I'd get some opinions here.
