I'm just a little confused about the SEA version of D3.
Is the South East Asia server going to unlock at 12:01AM EST or will it be unlocked at 5:00PM EST. I've read different posts on this and gotten a little confused.
Also are the Australian's still going to be defaulted to the US realms? If so it may make our servers quite empty, but I think I will play on them anyways. </3 Lag.
Isn't it better for SEA countries to connect to the Asian server instead of the NA server? Anyone know why SEA countries are being defaulted to the NA server?

There are many reasons, one being anyone who plays WoW cant play with their American friends, another being the majority of us cant speak asian languages so the community is split in half (this happens in SC2). Australia also has a low population compared to america too, so why wait 10 mins for a group when we can wait 10 seconds on american servers?
That being said though, I dont know why we are defaulted to your servers, I do know its the preferred servers for most Australians though

Actually, I am from the Philippines. I am just wondering why Blizz is defaulting SEA countries like the Philippines to NA servers with 200-300ms of lag, when there is an Asian server that's nearer, and presumably with better latency.
Another would be, what is the Asian server for then? I know it would be for the rest of those not in SEA, but wouldn't that be splitting the server population too for Asian servers, since a big part of Asia are being defaulted to NA servers instead of the Asian servers?

Thanks.
It was also on our front page 2 days ago: http://www.diablofan...e-at-0001-cest/
And yes, Australians play on those same servers with South East Asia and the US.
Ha. Bagstone.
I read somewhere that the launch would be 5pm. Guess that was wrong.
Thanks
