Soo.. as some one who just recently obtained Diablo 3 Beta I spent alot of my time messing with the Skill Calculator and putting together skill sets that I put quite a bit of thought into.
However, there's one huge difference (unless I'm completely missing something) In the official skill calculator you can change the sub-set of abilites, you aren't forced to take 1 ability from each sub-set (AKA: Primary, Defensive, Generator, ect) but in-game there is seemingly no way at all what so ever to take two primary or two generators or two defensive you can only take from that sub-set with each assigned keybind.
Why does the skill calculator have this option but its seemingly broken in-game? Is this just a Beta thing or is this how its going to be? Because being unable to take multiple skills from a single skill set is... way too hindering and IMO throws away a ton of customization.
There is elective mode. It is in the options ( I don't have beta sadly, so I cant say exactly where. ) but that is what is focusing you to take a take 1 of each kind of skill.

Enjoy.
People who make utterly useless builds should just have to learn the hard way imo.
