Just posting to let everyone know that the blizzard site finally updated the talent calc so you can play with the patch 15 changes. As a monk i know i will since they largely changed how exploding palm and sweeping strike work.
Edit: The calculator icons are all messed up but the mouse over abilities and runes are accurate to the patch 15 changes.
"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?"
It must not be complete. Half the WD spells don't work. Hmm, works better now. After I hit the blue button on that page a few times (to conjure up random builds), it started working right.
its 0 AP for the first pulse and then is the normal 20 Ap per second after that. The tooltip is horridly worded.
Says who? That is stupid and makes no sense at all.
Also its worthless, unless you exploited it and it would be stupidly easy to exploit.
I'd bet $1000 it doesn't go live like what you described...

Man, you HAVE to stop ragin all the time. Just puts people in a bad mood.
And yes, it does make sense. Unlike, say, rapid fire which has a cost initially, RoF doesn't have an initial cost until you've channeled it for a second, then it goes into what appears to be a 20 (?) AP per sec drain.

I will stop raging when the average person on the internet stops drooling on their keyboard, and saying the dumbest thing they can think of.
It lowers the cost of initial cast and every subsequent cast, just like every other spell that lowers AP costs.
It does not ONLY lower the initial cost, that is totally absurd.
This is like kindergarten logic....
I was simply commenting on the fact that despite the beta still saying 12 AP, the website continues to say 0 AP. It seems odd they missed the same error twice, but is indeed possible.

a channel is NOT a subsequent cast...it does NOT follow the same logic
when you stop being a moron is the day you stop raging (well that and when you remove that idiotic fallacy of a signature)
Like Bleu said though they could stand to reword it.
Damn so much rage over a channeled spell. In all honesty that was something told to me by a beta tester. I just assumed he was right i have no data or facts to back the statement i made earlier about it costing 0 AP. I didn't realize there were people so passionate about a spell that's semi free to cast. I mean its not like mages have 4 signature spells that cost nothing.......

Of course there are subsequent casts...Just because the graphic is a solid stream, doesn't mean the dmg is calculated an infinite # of times. The only difference between the channeled spells and any other casted spell is the period between casts and the graphic. You can hold the button down for any spell.
Why would they have to reword it? "Reduce the casting cost to 0 AP"
You would have to either be intentionally misinformed and gullible, or near illiterate to misunderstand the meaning. How much simpler could you possibly make that statement?
ROFL! Fallacy of a signature...ahh no, this is not a fallacy. You don't know WTF you are talking about regarding a simple game, so don't even bother with philosophy.

God I want them to post the items... heh.
Elective Mode allows you to place any skill in any spot except for certain skills for the mouse buttons.
