I was just curious if anyone has any clue what the plan is going to be for stopping malicous things in diablo 3. Im already seeing things pop up on youtube that players are doing for stupid sits like taultunleashed (Diablo 3 Hacks or Guild Wars 2 Hacks) and mmoviper (Guild Wars 2 Bots). Is blizzard going to have anything to stop them, such as world of warcrafts warden system, because if so im all for that. Also does anyone know how the reporting system works for the game? Alas i still havent gotten a d3 beta key so i have no clue on this stuff. Just thought id ask ha.
Make money via RMAH so they can justify consistent updates. At least thats what I hope happens....otherwise they are just shoving a massive amount of extra money in their pocket out of pure greed.
Though you could argue its in their best interest to stop cheating, thus keep people playing and using the RMAH.

I remember somebody - I believe it was Jay - stating that there isn't a need for more than a patch every month (at most (and by at most I mean distance between them)), due to the nature of the ARPG genre. I wouldn't put your money on a lot of content updates. Balancing/tuning patches - yes.
Edit: And I wouldn't say pocketed money is greed. They need money for expansion content. Especially if it'll be another 5 years

Botting is rampant in WoW (EU at least), absolutely NO reason to believe it'll be otherwise in D3 untill proven otherwise.
Anyone saying anything else is mindlessly fanboying Blizzard because they like the company
I have only seen PvP bots that can do little more than target someone and put them on follow, or attack someone using random skills. Which is really only possible due to macros.
I would imagine it would be far more difficult to make a viable bot for D3 Farming than it would be in WoW.

Bot hacks are just macro setups. GG Blizz for allowing it. Diablo 3 has no macro's so it'd be harder to form a bot. However, we will have hundreds of chinese farmers. I would love to work at blizz, i'd banhammer them long time.

Ban people for playing the game? Lots of people have some grand idea to make money playing D3.

Changing the code a little always helps.
