Diablo 3, what to do until beta access or release date?
I recently updated this because shortly after I made this topic I managed to win a beta key.
I'm now devoting this thread to anybody who hasn't won or for some reason is tired of the beta.

Community also recommends:
- League of Legends
- Alan Wake
- Guildwars
Beta's to try for:
10/10 - Diablo 3 (obviously)
9/10 - Guild Wars 2 (I have not played but based off looks)
If anybody has any suggestions within reason (i.e. no Adventure Quest or crappy MMO's please) I'd greatly appreciate it or maybe even revisiting old games with new mods?
If you're looking for games to hold you over, I'd recommend anything on this list if you haven't played it.
As most of you have already found out I got it! I'm finally in the beta and I'm happy as ever. It's like christmas.
But since I know a lot of people out there are still struggling and hoping for access I want to know what you want to see in a Diablo 3 Beta Video, any information? Anything your curious about? Speed Runs? Skills? Etc. After I get some more game time in, i'll be making videos to your exact requests.
Seems about the same stretch of games i have played. Dark souls was fun, would be more fun to play with friends and not solo. Swotr has some of my friends addicted but the game play seems boring and repetitive with the same interface of wow or guild wars. I have put a few thousand hours into guild wars and it still did not bore me yet my friend list vanished then it became really boring. Its all about who your playing with to be honest, any game can be fun with the right crowd.
This might not really help you, but find the hobby you are passionate about outside of gaming. In my case, I've been working on my film work. Obsessing over it in fact. I finally got a decent camera after doing several very low budget films on weaker equipment, and found an amazing script that is right up my alley to direct.
I'm not saying make a movie, though, if that's what you're into, go for it. But find that thing that you are passionate about and go for it. Writing? Podcasting? Something along those lines. Tons of fun, and eats of tons of time.
Rosetta Stone is great. That's not a bad suggestion. Maybe learn Japanese so you can play all those import games. And you'll have broadened your horizons.
I have been catching up on old shows on Netflix. I also have some movies I want to watch. I don't think I will have much time when d3 launches for TV and movies. I got The Book of Cain to hold me over too.

I agree, Torchlight was the closest thing to Diablo I could find but it's single player which ruined it for me, after around 10 hours gameplay i was sick of it.

I do plenty of things through out the day but im one of those people who live off of 5 hours of sleep, so from 2am to 6am video games and photoshop are really my only options that I find enjoyable, that I've come across.

Book of Cain = Amazing lol and after you've read it and stared for hours it's a really cool decorative piece
work, work and more work,/ eat, work make fun of someone or something, sleep. play bf3, mw3, watch a movie, climb a mountain, adopt a baby, ride a motorcycle, prank call someone, wash the car, lose weight, gain weight, eat 10 bags of skittles in under 10 minutes, race a horse, feed a homeless man, take the dog out for a walk (if you have a basket on your bike, screw the walk) pee on the sidewalk, irritate your neighbors, scream really loud into deaf persons ear, try dance dance revolution, spitballs. tie a mouse to the tail of your cat, find waldo, collect monkeys, go snorkling in seaworlds fish tank, punch mcdonald in the throat, play zelda while listening to opra
go to concerts, buy a guitar and actually play it, give a bear a bearhug, idk do something lol.
Well right now my schedule is, wake up, go to work, come home, work out, return home which ends up being around 1-2am and get on my computer, play xbox, playstation or watch some youtube maybe a new movie if theres torrents for it available until roughly 5am sleep and repeat.
But what sucks is, no new movies, no new games (or old games worth playing that i know of, hence this thread) and I've probably watched every youtube video there is.
Or F*** around on some photoshop. i.e. my signature, made it a little while ago.
im having a lot of fun with a game called dungeon defenders its a tower defense game. its a lot like diablo lots of items lots of stats graphics are intentionally cartoony but not terribly so its pretty cheap on steam lots of dlc too try it you might like it.

I might check this out.
Is it multiplayer and are there skill trees, leveling and game types involved in it?
If you enjoy the combat system in Heroes of Might and Magic you might want to try Kings Bounty, it has the same combat system but is more roleplay oriented.
No more city builds, instead you go around picking up resources, quests, xp and buy monsters from the different NPCs you find around the world.
Most likey be still going to tyr to make in the top 20 on galaga dx (ps3) on area one . right now(last time i checked it) i am at 128. just got to get some more time to play it Hope to hit top 100 this weekend
If all goes well, I will be playing the crud out of the beta until diablo 3 comes out. However, since I am a fan of all the blizzard games, I suppose sc2 will suffice for now. Learning a second language sounds a little too productive to me... ;-P
