eh tahts not even so bad at least i dont think so i mean considering theres a person who soloed him at lvl 1 with no items and there was also another video way back when where they had somebody one shot him so afking is not all to different i suppose
That's awesome XD Is that a monk? Honestly I can't tell, then again I'm watching it at 360p normal size ;-;
Yep it's the monk. He has the retribution aura which is a thorns aura that reflects 40% of sustained damage, plus he probably decked himself out in as many thorns type of gear he could find/craft. The affix "attacker takes damage of x per hit" is a pretty common one.
omg he didnt even lose one single lifepoint i think. thats really a bit too much
compared to the lvl1 witchdoctor i have to say if ur killing leoric by kting him it needs at least skill, this doesnt. i guess he has done it with max dodge and thorns equip at lvl 13. its hard to figure out cause there is no HD version
If you notice some of the green bits floating around the monk's body, those are regeneration numbers. He is getting hit, but it doesn't hurt very much.
It is easy to kill the skeleton king, and the only way you can really die is if you are the appropriate level of 8 or so, with terrible gear because you didn't craft anything, not using any damage reduction or defensive skills while just standing there swinging at him without dodging his attacks and not running around to pick up health globes and not using your health potions at the appropriate times or at all.
So basically, if you're a complete noob - and Blizzard is counting on a lot of their playerbase to be new to the genre and maybe even new to gaming altogether, so these easy beginning boss encounters are necessary.
Thorns female monk; going to make that as my 3rd char for sure. That just looks like so much fun ahaha. Whats better than monsters and bosses killing themselves on your armor while you sit back and eat noodles or something. Looking forward that monk class yayuhhh.
Dear OP, why is it "too much"? I bet that this guy spend many, many hours finding proper gear for this to work. I did something similar to Baroness in act 1 with my Paladin I remember... Or did I use potion or two... Hm... Anyway, that's not "normal" gameplay, that's on purpose. And on easiest difficulty, so... Chill out : >
I only spent about 3 minutes looking for gear to do this, just went through my stash to see what might have thorns on it, and I ran in and did it; I didn't even have all thorns gear on, was missing chest, helm, legs, and I don't even know if a weapon can have thorns but I didn't have thorns on it.
k i thought its only possible with monk cause he has all those dodge abilities and other classes especially ranged ones get their ass ripped of
Actually dodging would slow down this process because if the SK misses hitting him, he doesn't take any damage. Notice the thorns affixes say "on hit". The monk's main form of dodging is his use of dodging skills and his dexterity, so without that he can't dodge any better than the rest of the classes.

I understand it's just act one on normal mode, but this is a little much.
Edit: Read the description. Feel like an idiot. I'm curious how he had a thorns effect on him though.
