As much as I would love to buy a diablo headset and mouse, they just refuse to make a themed thumb-ball mouse, and the WoW headset I got...has never let me down since I bought it.
Yeah, my mouse starting failing me at the right time & I needed a new headset.
The prices were pretty damn good for gaming accessories.
Plus how can you say no to this driver interface?
I REALLY can't wait to test out the headset in game though, Plus the driver software counts how many clicks you make while playing D3, Can't imagine what the number will be at after the first week.
LOL I really did, I looked at the boxes a lot too, they were really well made & got me excited for release.
Some pretty nice art on them.
what's really cool though is that the usb cable for the headset is quite short, it's two seperate cables so that when you are done you can just disconnect it and set it on the table without having the wires droop down. Also it has a build in sound card on the cable so when you go to another persons house or switch to laptop it saves all the settings in there.
Pretty baws.
I personally bought an alienware keyboard awhile back just because you can switch the colors on it, but now razor has a keyboard out capable of every color on the spectrum. >< Great now I have to buy that as well lol. Man, I realllly want to try that diablo mouse just because I've already got a million other diablo swag related items, but my razor naga epic just won't let me down =) a billion colors, wired / wireless and of course the 17 buttons =D
i think the mouse looks awesome, but im really cheap with my money, so i just buy the cheapest wired mouses (mice?). its makes me drool to see that diablo one though. but ive never had a headset, even in my days of WoW
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
(this build was before D3 launched... looking back on it now - i had no idea what i was doing)
The problem with buying these is I couldn't bare to break the box's open and how else do you get things out of there plastic prisons!
I know what you mean! I had mine sitting in boxes for about 2 months before I finally opened them lol. The headset is great - Sounds really good in beta (the sounds come out from everywhere), lightweight, comfortable, etc.. The mouse has been a good replacement of my 5 year old MX518. Very comfortable grip, ease of use, and the software package for both products is great.
The only thing that disappoints from the hype is the pulsing colors of both. Instead of a fade in, fade out type of control when it flashes, it's only on, off, on, off. I get dizzy looking at it and it isn't that great.
It looks to fade on/off nicely? Maybe something in the settings?
I went through all the settings, but neither the headset nor the mouse fades like in that demo. The units only flash on/off at different speeds. Epileptic folks will go into seizures with the flash on high speed.
I tend to buy new mice and keyboards before I break the old ones. I like shiny things
The last mouse I actually broke was a Razer Boomslang and after that another where the rubber coating wore off. I have no need whatsoever for the D3 mouse and I believe I can keep myself from spending money on it. A part of me still wants it though
Didn't you just say you like quality over flashing lights? whats the difference between flashing lights and shiny objects
Loving them so far, Have yet to try it in D3 yet because I haven't gotten an invite
But I really recommend these two, Driver software is way too cool.
Makes me want D3 a hell of a lot more though, Especially when ever I look down at my mouse and see Diablo III staring back at me.
EDIT: Title fixed

It is.
Also I love how in the boxart, Imperius is holding his spear as the middle line.

Yeah they said they were going to sell them close to release, but we can all guess what happened there
I think they got impatient.
Now all I need is a keyboard that glows red.
Hmm.

A QUADRILLION MAGIC FIND is worthless if you can't kill shit!

To me, they are a little muffled, which I like.
