One thing what many would not agree with eachother is the control schemes. Especially for games like Diablo, it is like we are still experimenting what makes a good control scheme for the games like that.
"Pro" Diablo fans would obviously most likely defend how D3 controls work, as it worked similarly in D2 too. Many others would probably come up with alternatives but it is not really possible to sway that mountain called Blizzard in that (expect for console version where they need to take different aproach).
For example well known game called Magica has different aproach when it comes to controls but would not really fit to Diablo 3's gameplay "style".
However if chracter woukd be controlled with WASD and turning the character would be done with the mouse, it would be quite likely good viable alternative to a "classic" control scheme as an additional option.
I dont know how the D3 controls are set up yet but I was always really annoyed with the setup in D2 where you had everything on numbers 1234567890. Maybe I just suck at using a keyboard but if I have to pick any number over 5 I am going to have to look at the keyboard. The best solution I found was rebinding everything to letter keys under 1234...

so
q = skill 5
w = 6
e = 7
r = 8
a = 9
etc...
dont have to move your hand or look at the keyboard.
It is true that thanks to way Diablo 3 controls are, I could reach easily more than just 1-5 keys to cast spells, however there is no more than 1-5 keys needed to reach so this point is quite moot. Still it makes precice dodging etc harder. I found out that using Shift combination with keys allows to double that amount of keys I can easily reach for abilities (in one of the other game).
