I've heard multiple not so subtle clues that, yes, Diablo will once again be the final boss in this game. It also seems fairly clear that King Leoric will likely represent the final boss of Act I.
I'm curious if in between those two points in time we're going to see the return of Baal and Mephisto as well, or if perhaps Belial and Azmodan lay in our future.
It will also be interesting to see how they explain Diablo's return in the first place...
I'm pretty sure Leoric is the boss of the first dungeon, not Act 1. People were killing him in Blizzcon demos.
My guess is we'll get Diablo and some lesser evils (Belial and Asmodeus or whatever they were). I still think the "three merged into one" has some possible merit, but it's hard to say.
I belive Either Belial or Azmodan will be the boss of act 1 and 2, Act3 I'm not sure and Act4 is probably Diablo

There was that partial image of diablo and it gave a little bit of the 'merger' idea which is pretty sweet if you fight all single and then boom goes the dynamite.

Sometimes you don't always know where you stand... until you know that you won't run away.
Well technically Belial isn't confirmed, Jay Wilson only said that Belial was involved in A2. But yea, he's probably the A2 boss.
And I'm pretty sure Mistress of Pain came up a lot as an A1 boss in a previous thread like this, but I don't really think she's going to be the final boss. I don't see why they'd release concept art of her if she was, seeing as thats a reasonably big spoiler. I guess they haven't hinted at what her role is though, so its a possibility.
IMO its:
A1: No idea - could be whatever comes down in that meteor
A2: Belial
A3: Azmodan or whoever is leading the huge army assaulting bastion's keep (so probably Azmodan)
A4: Either Diablo or a powerful angel
Whatever they do with the bosses, I really hope that they theme the bosses on what they are titled upon.
Take Belial for example. He is the Lord of Lies. I would like to see a boss battle based upon deception. Such as duplication, mirrored damage, or maybe even a false health bar. I really want bosses to feel like I imagine them acting. They had to have gotten these titles for a reason.
Baal - Lord of Destruction. Destroys the environment around you and uses it to his advantage.
Mephisto - Lord of Hatred. It's sort of hard to imagine how hatred would be depicted in a fight, but everyone hates snares and debuffs, so maybe he can really annoy you with those. Enough to make you really hate him.
Diablo - Lord of Terror. Well, the fight has to be terrifying. Maybe you fight him in almost pitch blackness with only the glow from his eyes and mouths defining his silhouette. Maybe there are ambient noises of screaming and crying in the foreground. And of course he has to be big and mean.
And all of the Prime Evil's command certain "sub-groups" of Hell's army. Baal tends to command the really demonic-type foes, such as the Fallen and the Goatmen. Mephisto commands the undead, and Diablo commands the creepier-type beasts of Hell, like Spiders and Bat-like demons. So with that in mind, these evils would have to be surrounded with minions of their likeness.
I think that, paired with the themed battles, would really distinguish who these Evil's are, and what they do.

I agree with this...I want the fight with diablo to be terrifying, I also would like more event type monsters/champions/unique monsters, such as your walking down a hallway in a dungeon and the wall explodes and a champion monster comes out at you.
