Damage wise the channel builds could be quite viable.. unfortunatly in lvl 35+ you get 2 shot by nearly any white mob, forcing you to kite. Really love how they implement the stacking damage increase on channels and force kiting in the same patch.
To make tals they need to redue cd from 8s to 1s. Or 0,5s. To make vyrs viable they need to shift 4pc bonus to 3pc bonus and 4pc should make archon lasts forever + archon need overhaul of all his skills + major damage buff. Meteor luring staff needs to affect elites and champs. Grand vizier needs 100% meteor dmg buff and reduce cost of meteor to 0 arcane to be any competition vs furnance. Woh should make 10 additional explosions not 3 as its 1h and 1h are no longer optimal. Trumvirate needs to have at least 50% buff to all elements current one is joke. Also I would appreciate some buffs to melee wiz and new 2h spectral blade oriented weapon + reactivate depth diggers bonus for wizz and wd. Increase heal from simplicity strength to 5% life. Buff arcane change twister random movement to something normal + make it suck enemies. Remove animation of wave of force its retarded. Serpent sparker bonus hydras from 1 to 3 or 4 at least - 2 hydras still are shit compared to 1 furnance hydra. Oculus is retaded version of illusionist passive fix it. With gesture of opheus slow time should stop time. Blizzard is shit boring skill dont buff that but it should at least stack damage. Remove cd of molten impact with some bracers or belt. Add something that will make mirror images last forever for pet lovers but is boring as shit so i dont care. Buff desintegrate 4-5 times. My idea is that every enemy hit also creates another beam of power that hits other nearest to him enemy. Add weapon that works well with light of grace ray of frost buffing source. Add bracers and belts that buff "armor" skills. Add item that makes death blossom missles seek for enemies. Redesign power hungry to allow to cast 10 free spells for every health orb. Buff glass cannon to 30% maybe someone will use it. Prodigy 5->10 arcane power. Galvanizing ward 5s->1s. Dominance? Wtf is this shit. Killing enemy? Make it create shield on hit. Arcane dynamo 60%->100%. Or 200%. Unwavering -> double bonuses. Ep 5%->25%.
Tl;dr - buffs that will never be implemented or even considered but would make wizz enjoyable^
Exactly, i would not mind if firebird was the top build for 41/42, but the other builds could go to 38/39, but that's not the case, atm firebird goes almost 10 lvls higher.

Who says you have to play at high grifts. Just play your build up to the point you can handle. If it is about bragging rights I believe you would earn more bragging rights if you take a weak build up and beyond Grift 35.
I really do not have any high end gear on any character and can not play anything higher than torment 2 solo but I am having a blast of time using with my melee blazing fire hydra build (I hate Mammoth Hydra). Likely will go with cold melee wizard when I have cold gear. I also use no mobility skills.
Sadly I can usually only stand a few hours in a month to play DIII and I do not like doing efficient runs or anything. I just go out play what ever fancies me and have fun.

On Strike and supporting Fallout 4 Mod Makers
Some fallout 4 mod makers have had their mods stolen and uploaded and downloaded on Bethesda's site for the Xbox One.
We have a few people nearing the 40's on seasonal ladder that are only using the firebird 4 piece.
I think the problem with firebirds is that people see the dmg amount and think it's the only way to go. But the whole "kiting" thing dies out at around G40.
Firebird also offers the most damage because it doubles your fire damage and provides an infinite source of DPS on top of that. No other Wizard build can compete...
And you don't think having only one option is a problem for the game? Even D2 was able to have many many variations and builds that were viable for end game use.

"All this has happened before, and all this will happen again" This is like Dialo mantra, I guarantee the return of life leech at some point, because we have all experienced this kind of gameplay several times. Diablo 3 Inferno was something similar to GRs, one shot mechanics, going melee super hard. So kiting was the only option, then LOH builds (LOH buffed last patch) then LL builds, concentrating on DMG only. The only difference is Soul Rippers are Angels now
It is rather clever to do so, doing "changes" in cycles, and by changes I mean removing and adding the same elements of the game while keeping the feeling of a new approach for players. Life leech would solve many problems, and it is a lazy fix, the kind that Blizzard likes to do (something like when the game becomes too easy, they buff health and dmg of the monsters in percentages). I don't see them buffing rarely used skills, adding new unique legendaries or something like that. Only introducing old game mechanics, removed from the game because of "being toxic", or buffing some dmg numbers on gear, and ta da, we have something to do for a month or 2, making old gear underpowered.
If they changed some passives to provide a dot effect for other builds it would offer other elementals a chance to compete. What makes firebids awesome is that it adds a dot allowing you to kite while dealing a significant amount of dmg.
Do you now any other lvl 35+ rift viable build
Top 50 wizard gears are same
Furnace-firebird
There must be at least 3 alternatives
Blizzard please add some sets for arcane-frost or lightening builds
Or make tal rasha more viable for all elements master wizard
Maybe elemental exposure buff value and tal's elemental buff must be %10 and tal meteor cooldown reduce to 6 or 5 sec
Archon is dead too :/ its ridiculous i think
Tl;dr - buffs that will never be implemented or even considered but would make wizz enjoyable^
Without Furnace.. other weps work till ~40
İf we compare the power of builds firebird is 10 others are 1 maybe 2
İts not a top build its only build without alternative
There must be 6 or 8 point builds at least

There are countless viable Builds to play as a wizard.
