I've been trying to move up from T2 Rifts to T3 but having a difficult time. I switch out 2 or 3 pieces for higher toughness and switch out unwavering will with blur (my profile shows I have temporal flux as one of my passives but I was just testing stuff last night).
All said and done - I go into T3 Rifts with around 1.2-1.3m dps & about 5m-6m toughness - depending on the rifts (mobs) I can handle it or I just have a rough time.
My question is basically can I get a gear check maybe fellow wizards can help point out issues that I haven't noticed. Also I should mention that I have a mirrorball in the bank (I'm not sure how to utilize it yet or if its even worth it). I also have fire% bracers & the offhand set source (Firebird or something) that also has %fire + magefist - so I could prob put together anywhere from 60-80% fire increase if I switched to a fire build)
I'll try and help out. If you would, post your resistances & percentage reduction (each, individually, self-buffed WITHOUT Unwavering Will if you decided to pick it up again). Also post your armor % reduction, life on hit, life per hit, and what you're doing with your Paragon points.
I can take a look at your damage too but honestly, my Wizard is able to do T4 Solo and T3 in a group with ~800k damage (though a lot of % arcane and arcane torrent damage). You'd probably be a better judge for damage, as you want enough to feel comfortable.
So IMO gamble or craft lvl70 bracers first off. You can easily upgrade those old demon skin bracers you have on. My second point you might not be a fan of, but swapping glass cannon for blur is almost a guaranteed must do if you want to farm higher torment IMO. I really don't miss the damage output. and swapping it with blur instead of another passive for blur gives you even more toughness.
I also always go with the life per second option when spending my paragon points. 8k life per second is nothing to overlook. I run black hole with spellsteal rune as well. It gives me a little more control for those times I am getting overwhelmed or the mobs have me pinned in a corner, and I need to move them to run away for a minute. From my personal experience when going up in torment...toughness is more important than dps until you get to t4-5. You can swap Pinpoint barrier for the prismatic rune and gain a lot of toughness. My crit is over 50% now and the added 5% crit was only getting me about 70k dps, where the prismatic rune gave me almost 1mil toughness.
Mix and match these options to find which setup works best for you!

I have no idea why you are using Temporal Flux either. It's nowhere near as good as Cold Blooded (even nerfed) when using Orb. Your familiar isn't going to snare nearly as well. Plus, you're losing some damage too.
Blur is also not very good at all except for solitary purples that have no adds. For whatever reason, some people keep writing off Dominance, but it's so much better than Blur for 99% of the content.

Glass cannon is also a skill that too many take. The gains aren't worth it at all compared to practically any other damage booster.
