Umm, yeah... so I wasn't looking for the Firebird set at all. Really. I am not interested in it, but somehow I ended up getting the 6-piece bonus anyway thanks to the Ring of Royal Grandeur. So for those wondering about the set, the video briefly showcases what it does.
I haven't dabbled too much with the set yet because I don't have the proper gear to get the most out of it (I'm currently mostly arcane/multielemental based, not fire). There's some potential in the set, but I can't do much with it right now (I'm limited to a generic fire amulet, fire SoJ. Need to use the Plume or Talons so I can use my Cindercoat, but I don't have those two pieces).
Based on my limited experiments with it, it seems like it's a potentially great "run and gun" type of set for lower difficulty levels. Just hurl some fire nukes and let the 6-piece bonus do the rest against trash mobs. For elites... it's supplementary damage at best if there are trash mobs dying nearby. I do not know if the DoT stacks. If it does, then the set would be much better. Kinda.
Congratz on the set bonus ;-) And thanks for the video. Yeah, it just seconds my personal opinion about that set - I don't really need it.
Until yesterday I was really depressed about your items, too, because I played just as much as you did and didn't get a single upgrade in 8 days. But that turned around and I finally start finding stuff again, so the fun is back ;-)
@Those wondering how he's able to get such an impressive collection of loot: playing very efficiently and not doodling around, running with 3 other wizards, and sharing loot. The latter is the major point: play in group and share your loot, especially after a few days when the probability of loot that you don't need is higher. I actually found a Firebird's item as well yesterday, but since I'm not too keen on the set I gave it to Jamoose (he already has two pieces). On the other hand, he gave me an absolutely OP Triumvirate a few minutes before that (which actually would have been an upgrade for him as well). Play in group and share loot, it will average your lucky/unlucky streaks a lot.
Could you tell me what magic trick are you using to get so much set items ?
I've been playing 6/8h a day since release and I've got so far 1 tal rasha and 1 vyrs ....
Your inventory depresses me...
What he said. I've been playing non-stop since release and my Crusader hasn't seen a single frigging piece of the tier set fall. Give us your secrets! Please!
@Bag - Actually, the only item that I use that I did not find on my own is my Vyr glove. All my Tal Rasha pieces and Firebird pieces I found on my own. I do run with 3 other wizards pretty often, but the drops are my own.
The reason his drops are so high is obviously because Blizz have upped his drop rate compared to regular players like us.
I clear T4 rifts in 10-15 mins solo with my mirrorball build and in a group slightly faster. All set items I've ever found since RoS launch were the following 5 items - the compass rose, traveler's pledge, blackthorne's chest, bt belt and the wailing host.
I truly believe blizz gives streamers a higher leg drop rate to make the game look appealing to people viewing them. Why? I farm twice as fast as them in half the gear and find less.
How are you finding so many legendaries? Especially good ones I am currently farming bounties and rifts on T2 and I haven't found anywhere near the amount of legendaries you seem to find. Is there anything specific you are doing that I am not?
I just play. That's it. There are items out there I'm trying to find that others have obtained already. Likewise, there are items others want that I've obtained and don't give a crap about... like the Firebird pieces RNG, RNG, RNG.

thats 5x higher than mine, did blizz higher ur drop chance too?
Nah, I probably just play more than you do.
Out of interest what was the one set item you've found so far?
First and foremost, thank you for putting together the video and sharing it with us. Would be nice to see you enchant them and try and make them more powerful. Understandable you ran out of mats though.
RNJesus. It does stink. Considering I also run with great groups who clear rifts quick and efficiently from t3-4. Killing most trash mobs, all elites, and also looting corpses and chests ect. Unfortunately our RNJesus has led us to two hander legendaries. Why do they even make 2h legs - they stink

Well, the Crusader now uses 2h's and the occasional Barbarian can be seen swinging a 2h, but yeah, apart from strength classes nobody wants 2h...
