Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls Melee Wizard build (Updated)
This build has been effective at farming adventure mode on torment 1 and 2. With better gear
it should work fine on higher settings. I do worry about how well the absorption shields
will work at higher difficulty levels though, does anyone have any input on this?
Gear/stats
I am using a few pieces of life on hit gear for a total of about 5400 LOH with 2400 passive life regeneration.
1400 range. This includes the paragon points I spent in resist all. I my consider
moving those points though.

Skills
*Spectral Blades seems to work better with life on hit than the other primary skills, does anyone have definitive proof for this?
I am just going by how it “feels” when I play.
Primary Spectral Blades (Thrown Blade) – I love the added range/damage of this rune, but the others are viable.
Secondary
Changing this skill can drastically alter how the build plays, the arcane ability are more aggressive DPS while the meteor has
a very defensive/ “tanky” feel to me with all the freezing it can do.
Arcane Torrent (Arcane Disruption/Cascade) – These two skills seem to put out the most damage, if you know different let me know.
Lots of people use arcane orb with the arcane orbit rune. Just doesn’t feel as fun to me but use it if you like it.
Meteor with the Comet rune is also fun, sometimes the freezing ability will save lives.
Ice Armor – (Crystalize) I use this one for the extra durability. Sometimes I use the Frozen Storm rune. Black Hole (Spell Steal) – Hey, its our new spell and fun to use. Different variations of the blizzard spell are also very effective.
Familiar (Arcanot) – I would use something else here if I had more arcane power on crit gear. Magic Weapon – (Deflection) Defiantly try the other runes if you don’t need the extra absorb shield. Maybe electrify.
Passive Skills Audacity, Unwavering Will, Blur, and Dominance.
If you find that you don’t need the extra resistance of blur you can be more aggressive here.
