For MP10 my damage is to low? And my EHP is good enough for MP8?
Wish I finally have some luck with my craft, to gain some more EHP (and hopefully damage).
Edit:
With buffs on, I have:
619,531.71
Damage per Second
534,427.49
Effective Hit Points
Your EHP should be fine for MP10, assuming you have enough mitigation or good enough tactics for RD. The DPS probably works for MP10 but will be a little slower than recommended, but might be worth it because of the extra MF and bonus item chance. If you don't already I'd say give MP10 a try and see how it goes. I really mean the recommendations as guidelines to help people see where a good place to start is or what targets to aim for. Feel free to push the boundaries to suit your play style.
EDIT: After looking at your profile I think there might be some confusion about what EHP to use. Whenever I say EHP I mean pre-dodge ehp since dodge doesn't technically add to EHP, it just adds to survivability. I added that to my list of assumptions. I am not sure if your EHP value includes dodge but if I had to guess I'd say it does, so your EHP might be a tad low for MP10, mainly RD mobs, but you can still try and see for yourself.
hmm why not set a threshold for your upgrades like stop for now and rely on crafting and farming or flipping.
yeah after the /tinfoil hat "intentional gold duping so blizzard can transition every GG item to rmah only" all gg items are there now and 3rd party sites. it's very demeaning if you ask me.
a gg item enters GAH, instant buyout/max bid; bot
oh you're euro? aww thought you were US, would love to farm
Yeah the really need to change someting, the economy is getting worse and worse
I will add you to my list so we can farm
sadly that's not possible. i'm US, you're EU from what i saw
Excellent post Loroese. Just want one clarification, when we are talking about dps and ehp we are talking about it in regards to elites right? Not just normal mobs. This is in regards to players with Reduced Dmg Taken Vs Elites and Increased Dmg against elites like me.
From my experience (solo) a scoundrel with a Buriza and an earth fury mean that your necessary EHP can be much less. I am extremely efficient farming Mp9 solo (cold blooded) with a base EHP of 360K and elite ehp of 385k. I also have a base 4 dmg reduction against melee which may add to my ehp and isn't taken into account.
I do think your dps values are spot on, especially for MP 8/9.
A little confused, cause I am using your spreadsheet for the EHP calculations, and based on that, my EHP is 360K (385K elite) with glass canon and energy armor (pinpoint barrier). And looking at our profiles we have roughly the same vit and all res, so why is your 500-530k buffed? Maybe I am calculating something wrong in the calculator? All other values match up.
oh I am not adding archon form, I assumed it was for when we are not in archon! Maybe that should be a little clearer for people who are a bit slow like me
Yeah when I say buffed I mean buffed with everything you should be running with. That includes Armor spell, glass cannon, Archon form, even War Cry if you run with a barb. Archon form adds a TON of EHP. It's one reason I find it so hard to run other builds. You need that EHP for high MP without someone freezing but you have to get that EHP somewhere, which tends to mean dropping dps for extra armor and resists.
Found this topic as I am wondering what MP level should fit my archon wiz.
At this point, I have 200k dps // 337k EHP full buffed in Archon. I feel comfortable farming MP3. Regarding this chart, I should be somewhere between MP5 and MP6. I absolutely dont feel comfortable higher than MP4.
Only thing I can think of being wrong with my gear at this point is missing Life steal in my weapon. Is it really the main problem that makes this much of difference? Or is there anything I miss in build / gearing?
Might be worth saying here I built this Wiz up from like 5m gold (not being budget char, Im just poor lol)
Every elite with a fire affix (Molten, Desecrator, Meteor, Fire Chains) or innate fire damage (e.g., lots of mobs in VotA) is just killing you because of that helmet.
In general, it's always a good idea to choose defensive skills and runes as long as you're feeling too squishy. Try Blur passive (instead of Temporal Flux) and Prismatic Armor (instead of Pinpoint Barrier) to increase your survivability.
Last but not least, these EHP/DPS/MP recommendations are all very very subjective. If you're not used to Archon game play or deviate from the main build (which you apparently do, by choosing Disintegrate+Electrocute rather than LL+CM) all of this changes. Your choice of skills makes me wonder if you're constantly in Archon form or if you spend a good amount of time out of Archon. Note that as soon as you drop Archon, you're very squishy; that's why it's recommended to pick CM+LL to get back in Archon form asap. Using Frost Nova and Deep Freeze also helps to up DPS, CM procs, and survivability a bit. These are the reasons why so many people use the default Archon build. While I really like if people choose something different and try "unusual" builds, the price is that you'll have to lower the MP level a bit.

You say you only have a base EHP of 360k, but I'm talking about buffed EHP and yours is about the same as mine, which is around 500-530k buffed.

Here's one of the things that kills you:
