I already knew about proc coefficients but didn't know the exact numbers, thanks for the links. I also wanted to know for example how does IAS affect my bilizzard, hydra or storm armor does it have any effect at all ? and how about crit, can all these spells crit ?
arcane torrent will consume more AP/s as will get more AS (the dmg scales up too)
blizzard will cast faster with more AS , its donst increase your dmg (just reduce "movement-lock")
storm armor will not proc faster , but the dmg is based on sheet dps ( does proc LS , dont know about LoH)
hydra is another normalized spell , they wont shoot faster but the dmg is based on your sheet dps (dosnt proc LF or LoH)
Hydra does not scale with crit damage but scales with everything else. It returns 0 LoH. Not sure about LS.
Blizzard does not scale with IAS, so higher IAS increases your char sheet dps but does not increase blizzard damage. It scales with everything else. Small LoH coefficient, works with LS.
Storm Armor is same as blizzard basically, but with a 0 LoH coefficient. Returns LS, strikes once per second on average, doesn't scale with IAS.
AT scales with everything but AP consumption increases with higher IAS, so it's better to raise dps by increasing CC+CD instead of IAS, but AT doesn't cost too much so higher APS should be somewhat manageable. It scales with LoH and LS but LS is better.
In general, LS > LoH for pretty much every build that doesn't use WW. While LoH is better than LS for LL, builds with LL likely have a heavy hitting spell like SS, meteor, AT, etc., so LS is better for those builds due to the high dps skill.
hydra does not proc anything, not even LS. it used to kill wizards before it was fixed (reflect damage)
Oh, those were the days... Farming Whimsyshire and exploiting the pathing by hiding behind trees while Venom Hydras took down elite ponies. Then you run into a pack with Reflect Damage and you have to call in backup to chain-revive each other.
