So, with 42% crit and roughly the same screen dps output, I can hit 260k EHP with the 2.5 breakpoint or 380k EHP with the 2.31 breakpoint (Zuni chest for 3pc plus a defensive litany VS Tal's chest and a rare aspd/crit ring, effectively). For elites (key farming), the higher EHP allows me to go with better dps skills into a higher MP, so that makes for less of an issue.
For Ubers on the other hand, I'm unsure of which to use. The target is MP8, and I'm wondering if anyone here has more experience with the differences/what is the most effective stat for them. Also, is the reduced cd on nova worth more than the +dmg in a 4 man party (speaking mostly about Kulle, here)?
I recommend 2.73 APS for Ubers Kulle/SB. For MP10 I recommend 350-400k EHP for Mag/SK so at MP8 that means about 290-330k EHP. I also recommend using Evocation and the reduced CD on FN rune. If you can get SB/Kulle stacked well, and you have someone designated to be grabbed by SB, you can keep Kulle from teleporting around. That makes the fight much easier and leads to almost no risk of enrage, unless your group dps is very low.
For solo farming I recommend 2.5 APS at least. There's a huge improvement in build performance from 2.3 to 2.5, especially with low crit (under 45%).
Kulle as the problem? Hm. I run ubers with two squishy DHs and our problem is just Maghda/Leoric (but in particular Maghda). As soon as I die the fight is over - rezzing with Maghda and Leoric going around is close to impossible. So my main goal for this encounter is simply "don't die". But in terms of breakpoints I absolutely second Loroese - I'd say 2.51 is almost required, don't go there with less, while 2.73 felt much much better and for me was the perfect trade-off. With 3.01 I lose too many other stats (it's really expensive to get to 3.01 and still have some other decent stats besides just EHP), so I didn't find it worthwhile. But obviously it's also a matter of budget to balance stunlock (CC/APoC/IAS), survivability (HP, armor, allres, LoH), and DPS (which comes last).
Just as a figure, my last stats for running MP8 ubers were 600k EHP and 2.73 APS. However, the high EHP came from crazy "too much vitality", I acquired most of my gear before I wrote my guide - and it's obviously stupid to increase HP while neglecting armor/allres... I guess if you have 30k HP and enough armor/allres to get to ~400k EHP you should be fine with 2.73 APS. In about 6 weeks I'm gonna re-requip my char from scratch and make sure that I have +armor on every single item...
The problem with Kulle is if you don't get a solid freeze at high MP, he hits very hard so people can die pretty easily. He also can drop those slow bubbles that waste your time trying to get out of and make positioning a pain since he likes to stand right in the middle of them. That also makes the fight take longer and runs the risk of hitting the enrage. There's also the new issue that SB can pick someone up in the middle of you trying to chain freeze him. People are reporting they cannot stop it even with 3.5 APS. Basically it's not quite as easy as it was before, but if you could chain freeze them before, you can now, but it's very tough to do with just 2.5 APS. I have an IAS Chanto I swap to for Kulle to reach 2.73 with the slow time bubble, though I should probably pick up a cheap chanto OH to go with it so I can use teleport or the damage bubble instead.
Mag and SK are the hardest and most annoying still, imo, since you can still chain freeze the other two, but Mag mostly just requires a bit higher EHP and Loh to make life easier. 2.5 vs 2.73 APS doesn't really make much of a difference IMO, though some claim that 3.0 does make a difference for that fight. I've never ran at 3.0 though so I can't speak from experience.
Interesting, thanks for telling me about the "new issue" - haven't done ubers in quite some time. Last time we went there (2012 ;-)) Maghda raped us while Kulle/SB were a piece of cake.
Damn, can't wait to get some more time to play and revisit ubers again. But... work first.

Let me know if you want to run, I actually have a working CM/WW set now... since late 2012 when I gave up.
My gosh, how my fingers and forearms burned when I revisited ubers last week after over a month+ without touching CM/WW.
I do a lot of Uber carries. Kuelle is just annoying but not difficult. I always try to lock the both together, if SB grabs someone I just move out of range enough so that kuelle is still frozen but SB is not until he drops the player. With a good enough freeze you will rarely see a bubble out of Kuelle.
SK and Maghda is the most difficult because they both deal a lot damage. Just requires more mitigation. Again I like to stack them close to each other and lock both.
I usually run 3.0 aps but recently tried to switch to 2.73. Read all this stuff on here about how much more damage you do, which is true - gave me about 40% more DPS but hated it. Against Maghda/SK not only is the freeze worst but I was taking a lot more damage than normal. Against Kuelle, I couldn't prevent him from getting a few slow bubbles out.
Against everything else the difference is not noticeable.
