I have been using CM in 1.05 and by boosing my AS, I am able to get it to work fairly well. However hours and hours of grinding has lead to pain in my fingers and wrist, so for the past 2 days, I have been using Microsoft Intelli mouse macro. Basically I assigned 1234 to one mouse button, and I if press the button it will repeatedly trigger 1234.
But, will Blz ban me for this? I mean if they do then f it, since I need to stop playing it anyway lol. However it will be nice if anyone of you have tried this before or know blz's stand on this. Thanks a lot
Since it's just a mouse button assignment, I don't think it's bannable. My understanding is the bans come from using 3rd party software such as gear swap macros or botting programs. Even then, I don't think they throw out bans very often for anything short of extended botting periods.
If you want to be sure, you can always submit a GM ticket and ask.
Knowing how those guys work the GM will advise you not to use any third party program with a text that is pretty much "pre-typed". In there he will also direct you dto download and read the TOS and ensure that any use of third party programs may lead to disciplinary action against the account.... but in the end after reading all that you will still be wondering: "sooooo?"
I know a guy who has botted so much with one account he has more gold than he will ever use. He is harmless enough because he is not interested in selling gear for money or even gold for that matter. He has it going forever too, since late 1.02 up to now.
When he became afraid of getting banned all he did was purchase a new account and transfer everything to a new "clean" account.
His logic though can be understood, he told me he doesnt agree with paying for gold or items with real currency so he sought out a way of having "infinite" free currency for himself.
Well to sum it all up, he was never banned. In fact i think he just quit because he thought 1.04 was too boring, havent seen him online for quite awhile now.

Or he could've been banned. I had a friend who was banned pre-1.04 just for botting for three hours. Another one, a close IRL friend of mine botted for a long time until I noticed he stopped playing altogether. Lo and behold, he already had another account the entire time and tells me his old account was banned. Still, everything was transferred to his new account, making him rich beyond belief.
Short and simple: Logitech G105, 30$, 6 macro keys, switch dps on/off.
You CAN'T bot with it (full gameplay simulation) but it can press your buttons.
There might be something in the EULA that forbids using it ... but with carpal tunnel syndrome, my only option atm (or switching builds ... but I like my kaboom mage).
I guess you could code that macro with a little C, or Java to get the same effect.
Macro is like:
1 key down
10 ms delay
1 key up
...
...
left mouse button down
10 ms delay
left mouse button up
...
repeat option: toggle switch (on/off)
mine is like 1 nova, 2 crystal skin, 3 explosion, 4 energy armor, left mouse twister, right mouse magic weapon
I am still pressing my own buttons, but I watched him (in online play), except a little jerky movement, he seems to get along ...
I had the same mouse. Got a new/better one also from Logitech, but I don't use it for gear swaps or anything (though I used to waaaaaaaaayyyy back when I first started playing). I just have one of the buttons set as "right click loop," which basically spams right click as long as I hold down the button. I really only use it to mass vendor items.
I don't vouch for macros involving third party programs, but if it's a mouse's particular feature that helps you click... might as well, yeah?
I'm pretty sure it's allowed considerign assigning several keys (read not macro aka u haven't put in delays and basicly have a rotation going from one button) and each time u want to press all the buttons it's a click for you if I'm understanding u correctly. This means not only can it not be detected by so called "anti-bot" messures cause it's highly ireggular compared to a specific timed macro.
This is just like rebinding a certain key to the mousescroll it is not a problem all it does is allow u to to something faster
well actually I have assigned 123 and 4 to one single button to the mouse, so whenever I press tat button, it will spam 123and 4 in rotation infiniately until I press the button again. Personally I wouldnt consider this a cheat since the speed at which you could spam your spells is really limited by the cool down of the spells, and your attack speed. Doing this doesnt give you any advantage in game, it is just to make your hands feel better over time.
Well hopefully whoever programmed their Warden programme sees it this way...
if keeping myself from getting carpel tunnel gets me banned then i shall be banned >.> also why would they ban people for using gaming mouse/keyboards like they are made that way for a reason right?

The moment these orders are issued automatically (ie. triggered by software), you are then in trouble.
