One of the changes in the recent patch was a overall nerf to Act 3 and 4 mob damage by 15%. This means the optimal EHP values for force armor have changed by the same amount.
Most Elites 118k
Demon Tremors 150k
Prismatic Armor > Force Armor @ 477k for elites
New threshholds:
Most Elites 103k
Demon Tremors 130k
Prismatic Armor > Force Armor @ 415k for elites (517k for Demon Tremors)
This assumes that elites do 25% more damage than normal mobs, which is the same assumption used previously. The top end damage of most elites is calculated to be 138k so the breakeven point between Force Armor and Prismatic Armor is reduced to 415k EHP. The breakeven point for the top end of white mob normal attacks is 332k EHP. Keep in mind these breakeven points are for Prismatic Armor being active, and since Prismatic Armor will increase your EHP you will effectively jump to the breakeven point when your Force Armor EHP is slightly lower. Also these points are only for main attacks of the higher hitting mobs with attacks that are not so easily avoided. Easily avoidable attacks are more in line with the Demon Tremor damage (~175k damage per attack).
What this means:
If you have under 332k EHP with Prismatic Armor, you should probably switch to Force Armor. The only benefits I can think of for using Prismatic Armor is slightly less damage taken from reflected damage mobs and various dot effects, but elite attacks can hit for 40%+ of your health at 332k so in terms of large damage spikes from elites, Force Armor is more optimal.
If you have under 415k EHP with Prismatic Armor, Force Armor is still more ideal for all elites but Prismatic Armor is viable since not all elites hit as hard. If you find you're taking too much damage from elites, switch to Force Armor.
If you have over 415k EHP with Prismatic Armor, Force Armor is wasted, so keep Prismatic Armor. Any extra EHP just increases your survivability and if you get over 553k EHP you can survive 4 consecutive attacks from elites without dying, if you were at full health.
