Don't constantly kite him rapidly around the room, slowly back him through his clouds, so when he releases cloud#2, he's still in the same area he released cloud#1, therefore limiting how much space they actually take up.

don't quite understand, for him to release cloud #2 where cloud#1 is I need to stay in the cloud, wich kills me...

no he said that he(ghom) needs to be where he released cloud 1 when he is realeasing cloud 2, and be where he released cloud 2 when he is releasing cloud 3, so that when you make the full circle around the room, the olds clouds will be disappearing.

ahh ok gonna try it, I try to do smaller steps so the progression is slower but up until now, I never managed to complete a rotation with the old clouds disappearing
I found the trick to this fight.. be playing a Monk and you win automatically.
But in all seriousness - before I switched to a Monk this was VERY difficult to kill on my Wizard with Blizz/Hydra sppec. I did evetually kill it.. was just clever uses of teleports and high life regen
Kept hearing about barb and monk having an easier time on this boss, but what exactly should they do? Would be great if I can drag my barb/monk friend to tank this for me.
This is funny how a wizard asks for help about this boss in the wizard forum, and every other post is a monk or barb or DH saying they faceroll it.
If you're not a melee wiz, you need
- a way to hit blobs together with the boss (arcane orb, your signature spell of choice...)
- a way to slow the boss (cold dmg, temporal flux, ...)
- a way to regen your life fast (high regen or life on hit...)
Then kite him as close as possible to the gas cloud, in a square pattern, and at the end of the pattern, try a smaller square in the middle of the room until gas dissipates where you initially pulled.
That or just throw on a decent shield and temp spec for critical mass/blur/x WW with venom hydra and time warp variation. You DO have 900+ resists already, right?
Just got to youtube and watch some videos on there. Fighting ghom is all about positioning the gas clouds. Watch what they do to stay in the clouds longer or to kite the boss himself better. Its a simple gear check, so it will be hard if you are undergeared that is what I am finding out right now lol. Good luck.

using blizzard as well, he is still fast, but he still usually don't touch me, his clouds does though
