I put it with glass cannon up and then I select glass cannon in the chart below, is it ok ?
consider the numbers without glass cannon selected in the game(change for something else) then put the number on the calculator and select glass cannon on the calculator if you use it, and it will give you the number straight up. Same thing for armor and resists.
Do you know what kind of numbers you need to make Prismatic worth more? (Even if its for say... Act 1)
Because if mobs hits you for at most 34% of your health and FA never procs, Prismatic is sure to be worth more... Can we get those numbers?

Aside from bosses, if I'm reading the table posted on the first page correctly you'd only need like 35k EHP for prismatic to be worth more than Force Armor for Act 1 elites, which should be just about anyone setting foot into Inferno.

That's why i wanted someone more knowledgeable to get the numbers, for example, i have no idea what's the highest damage range in Act 1 (or even 2 for that matter)
But using the 1.5x with 0.5x spread and 1.25x elites... I get up to...
45.1k top end damage and for that to be 34% (or less), i would need 132k EHP, but i really dont know if A1 mobs can hit as hard as 45k.
Without any mods other than 25% bonus, that would be 66k...i think. I'm not even sure i'm calculating correctly.
Actually I forgot to account for a couple things. First, I'm not completely sure what level of mobs are in Act 1. At first I assumed lvl 60 but I'm guessing it's lvl 61 for A1 and 62 for A2 since it's 63 for A3/4. Also, I didn't account for the damage spread or for the damage factors that some mobs might have like phasebeasts have in Act 3.
Based on my new calculations (shown at the end) you would need 152k EHP to make PA = FA for lvl 61 elite mobs that hit for 25% more than normal mobs. This is assuming a damage factor of 150% with a spread of 50% of the base damage. For lvl 60 mobs it's more like 75k. Keep in mind that is EHP WITH PA so if you don't have PA active, try turning on the option in whatever EHP calculator you're using to see what it would be when comparing. I go from 137k to 167k with my gear.
Also, this is ONLY based on the hardest hitting mobs. For most mobs the EHP needed will be significanly lower and even elite mobs with a damage factor of 1 would be around 100k EHP. Also bosses most likely hit harder and this still does not take them into account. If anyone has information about bosses damage, I would love to know that since I could put EHP threshholds into my spreadsheet based on bosses also.
MATH WARNING:
Short calcs if people want to know how I came up with those threshholds:
MobHit=BaseHit*DmgFactor*SpreadFactor*EliteFactor
DmgFactor=150%=1.5
SpreadFactor=100%+Spread=100%+50%=1.5
EliteFactor=1.25
BaseHit=8800 for lvl 60, 18k for lvl 61
FA=PA when EHP = 3*MobHit. In other words, 3 hits kills you with FA barely so 3 hits will barely kill you with PA. EHP above that value means you barely live.
8800*1.5*1.5*1.25=25k
25k*3=75k for lvl 60 mob
18000*1.5*1.5*1.25=50.6k
50.6k*3=152k
I'm currently running around with EA and GC at ~167k EHP and 327 resist all. Since I have ~39.50k hp nowhere near the optimum 650-700 resist for Prismatic armor, reckon I should still stick with Force Armor over say Diamond Skin (since my current build doesn't include diamond skin atm)?
IMO everyone in Inferno should be using Energy Armor because it is just too good. The purpose of the math was to show when you could consider switching from using the Force Armor rune to Prismatic Armor and not lose survivability. With that in mind I wouldn't recommend dropping Energy Armor for anything, including Diamond Skin, even in Act 1, since a good portion of your EHP is due to the armor bonus from EA. I happen to like DS for later acts to make Reflect mobs more managable but if you want to fit it into a build you would probably want to consider dropping something besides Energy Armor.
How have you guys handled reflect mobs? Even act2 elites willl drain my HP pool quickly just attacking with blizzard. Grant it I've only partied since the update so far. I guess I just need more res all.
The easiest way to handle a reflect damage mob is to buy an amulet with 500-600+ Life on hit and just swap it on against reflect damage champ packs.
not true, regen > life on hit. i have over 1k regen per sec and can full dps most reflect packs with bliz/venom/piercing orbs.
is there any confirm about what EHP are needed beetween 94k and 117k from 1st post?
I think it depends on the mobs, I have 112kEHP atm and elite/champions phasebeasts do not hit me for more than 35%... things like demonic tremors though can one shot me with their double claw attack...

he wasnt considering those because they are very slow swingers(those are the big hits) which are very easy to avoid.

Yes, including Force Armor or Prismatic Armor, Enchantress, Glass Cannon, etc. Basically the stats you have when things are trying to kill you.
