I've been using energy armour with the force armour rune as a means of defence throughout act 1 inferno. Incase you didn't know, the force armour rune makes it so that if an incoming attack will do more than 35% of your hp in damage, the total damage you receive is only 35%. Theoretically, this should mean that you can take at least two hits before dying. I've noticed that in act 2, my energy armour and force armour rune are not in affect. Is there a reason behind this? I've tried the unicorn level but to no avail as it seems that the rune does not work there either. Is anyone else having this problem or am I looking at the description the wrong way?
They changed it so that the max amount it can absorb is 100% of your max HP.
Anything more then that and it goes thru the armor.
what ? so it is totally useless now?
Its not useless unless you have been avoiding vitality. If you're getting one-shot, the game is telling you that you dont have enough health/gear to do this act and you cant cheese your way in.

so how does it work now does it still take a percentage of HP provided your HP is above a certain amount? or does it work differently?

It takes a look at the incoming damage. If the damage is less than 35% you take the full hit, if it hits for 35%-135% of your health, you get hit for 35% of your life. If the hit is for more than 135% of your life, it only absorbs an amount equal to 100% of your health, so a hit for 201% of your health will kill you, a hit for 199% of your max health will leave you at 1% if you were at full health before hand.
The best way to use it now is to stack only enough EHP so that any given attack will do no more than 135% of your max health, thus maximizing the amount absorbed by the armor while keeping the amount of actual damage you receive at 35%.

150k EHP is fine for at least the first half of Act 3 if not all of Act 3. You will still get 1-shot or nearly 1-shot by Act 4 Oppressors, but I just try to kill them before they kill me and if not... well there aren't an infinite supply of them at least.

And honestly how did so many people miss this change? It was a huge thing a few weeks ago when it was done.
