I have ran some spreadsheets on increasing my DPS. if I get a 1400 DPS 2h or i replace my 1h with something with over 1k dps, I gain 4-7k tops. And the weapon I get needs to have at least 250 int on it to give me those gains.
My current weapon has 788.2 dps and 262 int. My current offhand is 60-355 with 44 int.
I want to get to rediculous DPS levels like that one youtube archon(128k), but even with a kickass weapon, and if I grab an int andies, and a lacuni bracer, etc. That high of dps does not seem possible without dropping at least 80mil on gear.
TL:DR what should I shoot for in terms of gearing my wiz now?
Stack INT and IAS as much as possible, only thing you can really do to reach those levels.
Personally I prefer to bypass IAS altogether and stack int as high as possible. IAS is good and all but the DPS it shows on your character sheet is false. The only time you will really get that DPS is when you can stand and spam, which isn't very often in inferno. I prefer to stack int, bypass IAS, get a slow 2 hander with huge damage and int. That way while I am kiting and shooting one spell here and there I get WAY more benefit out of it than if I were to have stacked IAS.
My Arcane Orb: Obliteration one shots packs of mobs in inferno when playing solo.
I personally go with the high Int, high IAS, high move speed strategy for kiting purposes.
However, that kind of build is probably outdamaged (assuming both parties could turret - which is an unrealistic assumption) by an Arcane Orb build based around Crit (and +10 AP on Crit on your helm and another +10 on your offhand). Semi-infinite Orb spam will probably beat anything in sheer damage, probably even Archon-builds based on IAS.

You need a higher DPS weapon, and forget the MF, its nerfing you, and your dps/hp is nerfing your MF, get higher MF on pieces, 10% is poo ( on your shoulder ) and just swap to MF gear before the last elite/goblin dies, its annoying but much better.

Yeah I just started doing that. I have some MF gear that I swap to. I just bought a 17 IAS 9% crit really nice gloves and sold my old ones. I was going to try to pick up a nice int andies with socket for +life% for hopefully less than 4mil and a lacuni bracer as well for some move speed, and some bojanglers as well.
Good plan. Your gear is pretty sweet, Focus on that higher dps weapon, that'll make the most difference to your wiz, whos DPS is pretty sweet already.
I also would hold off investing heavily in IAS gear until the full extent of IAS nerf is revealed in 1.03
Yeah I am tryin to pick up some +crit damage pieces. Worst case scenario is I switch my IAS rings for crit chance rings or something because I don't have a ton of attack speed compared to some people. Swapping out my rings my IAS would go to 45%.

I just like one shotting entire packs. It amuses me greatly. =D
