It doesn't include any +damage buffs but centers on passive mitigation, kiting. Though normal mobs die fast enough, elites are easy to kite around, and cold blooded passive does it's job well.
I'm currently doing 1st act inferno, has 13k dmg with this build, ~400 resists and 4300 armor. I'm sure it's good for 1st act but will it be fine for later stages, or do i need to change my stats priorities for more damage? Will I be able to "tank" as good as i can now, given I will get better gear?
Forget about "tanking" inferno as a wizard, you will never do it after act 1. You will probably have to rely on force armor like everybody else and avoid getting hit more than 3 or 4 times.
I didn't mean i was tanking literally. I always try to avoid any hits, but i just don't get 2shotted. It's required to kite constantly and high armor and resists help not to die to fast or other strong elites while kiting.

Basically all elites/champs/bosses in Act 3+ hit me for about 77k after all absorbs and resistances, and 1 shots me.
This is all through diamond skin (absorbs 21k) and force armor, with the following stats:
That means I'm reducing an elite/champ's damage by 63%, then by 35%, then absorbing 21k + 42k damage, and still getting hit for about 70k, killing me instantly.
Basically, I throw a shield on and some Vit heavy gear, and drop to 15-20k dmg, and I still get 1 or 2 shot through diamond skin.
Unless you want to try to get up to about 75k hp and forsake all damage, I don't think tanking is going to work very well for ya.
Having a shield to throw on really helped me through acts 2/3, because I could toss it on and not be 1 shot every 4 seconds by white mobs with teleport, or leapers which you really can't kite.
Even in full damage gear with 40k damage, it still takes a while to kill elites/champs while kiting them around, so I'm not sure how well you'd be able to kill things with 13k damage.
Just giving my experience to prevent you from spending millions of gold on tank gear, only to be dissatisfied with it.
It might work for ya, but IMO the Wiz can't tank and just needs to avoid being hit when possible.

There's absolutely no reason to go all defensive because of FA. It greatly devalues gear-based defenses and Blur.
For example, I'm currently farming Inferno A1 for gear and gold with FA and 30k HP, with native resistances and armor (i.e. I don't gear for those). Nothing ever 2-shots as well, actually I don't die there at all, but I have 2 times your DPS. So, why stack defenses if you can melt faces and still survive?
Thanks for the info. I'll try aiming to get more damage and maybe take glass cannon or force weapon.
I was struggling to find an enjoyable build. It seems some kind of frost will suit suit me the best, but i'm not exactly sure.
Is frost hydra worth it, what do you think?
Because its a massive jump in difficulty from act 1 to act 2
Nope, did Inferno A2 in one evening with no defenses on gear. Any other reasons?
Edit: I mean, yeah, there's definitely a jump in difficulty, but stacking defenses on gear doesn't solve that, because you still can't take more than 2 hits, so you still have to kite like a boss. In this case the "FA + full damage" setup is way ahead because basically you kill stuff a lot faster.
