Hey guys, i've been having a lot of trouble with Act 2 of Inferno. I'm at the Waterway quest right now (was at the zoltun kulle blood quest earlier) and i've been using Wormhole + Teleport to just run the hell away from everything. I've probably killed a total of 5 packs of elites this entire time.
Why attack speed? Do you even have time to stand around and spam your skills?
Unless you're telling me attack speed greatly increases your per skill damage which they do not.
As I observed, attack speeds only makes the numbers looks nice.

TBH, I see no problems with that. Skipping packs that you don't want to fight is a valid tactic. I personally hate A2, I think this neverending desert and those fucking sewers are the most disgusting part of the game, so I just rushed through it, skipping some packs and occasionally killing some elites to maintain 5 stacks. A3 has a lot better drops and is more wizard-friendly, so I see no reasons NOT to get there ASAP by skipping things.
For Act 2, I recommend swapping in Mirror Images somewhere - they're very useful because the stealthed snakes will destealth themselves on your images instead of on your face (and usually will 3-5 shot you quickly).
But yeah, the Sewers and other tiny tight spaces in Act 2 just really make it incredibly suck for the Wizard. It's bad for most classes honestly (though Witch Doctors like closed spaces for Zombie Walls iirc), but us more than most.

Right now i'm using this build: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#blYOSR!YVa!baZYZb
I'm around 2.61 Attacks per second, 40k hp, 150-200 on my resists, 30k dps, and 15% movement speed increase.
Is there anything i could do to be more survivable against these elites? Act I is definitely on farm for me, but Act II is a whole new beast.
PS: I use 1h + source off hand.
