Did anyone else also build up their sets in order to make the perfect build with critical mass? I for one spent over 3million gold buying every piece of crit gear, arcane regen, and even the now shitty legendary wand slorak's madness. Just feels like a slap to the face. I don't really have the motivation to farm a whole new set of gear, so i may just reroll.
I spent a lot as well, however it was mainly get resistances and hps up to make fa not be a complete piece of shit spell (it still is, but not as much).
So i sit with 400 resists, 38k life, 25k damage (with buff), and 21% crit. I can take a hit, but not by much. Basically it boils down to wizards shit needs to scale with hp/armor/resists - such as diamond skin. Otherwise they are just going to be garbage in inferno; as end game gear scales the worst with wizards and best with monks/barbs.
Nerfs happen in new games. It just is what it is. If you don't want to worry about buying gear that might be obsoleted by a change, yeah, running up a few alts to 60, trying out hardcore, etc. might be worth some time. That'll give Blizzard some time to make their more broad-strokes balance changes before you get stuck with gear that's not worth anything anymore. It still might happen in the future, but the odds go way down as a game ages.

...and if you disagree with me, you're probably <insert random ad hominem attack here>.
Can't believe you didn't see this coming. It was even more obvious than Force Armor.
I knew it was coming but i had 43% crit, i thought i could take a hit to critical mass being nerfed on energy twister. Now it doesn't even feel like the cooldowns are coming back at all.

at least you are being mature about it..people should learn from this that exploits are not the way to go..i`ve seen a lot of threads with people crying over force armor..it was obvious that that was not the way the game was intended to be played..i`m also a wiz and when i so the builds i said i`m not gonna beat the game on exploits..its just not fun..i`m lvl 60 in inferno, so you know i know what i`m talking about..ofc i get happy when a difficult mob gets stuck and i nuke him down, but still people please avoid using exploits and stop crying..in the license agreement which we all agree says that we shouldn`t use this product in ways that are obviously broken(not meant to be used (bad english^^))..anyways i made my own build..only taking advice from friends, i`m proud of it and i have loads of fun with it..you should do the same.
I know there is no point crying over it. I just wish they would have found this out at the start, maybe they should hire better QA testers. Just annoyed because it feels like were just being pushed around so they can make money off RMAH when it finally hits.
