Sweet. keep nerfing wizard in to the ground blizzard.
What's wrong, can't use a broken ability that lets you do things you shouldn't do?
Cry more. It got fixed, not nerfd.
Can't agree more. My main is a DH and hell yea I abused the shit out of SS. But now that it's gone I'm actually having more fun with my character, because I'm trying different builds that are actually working, instead of relying on one skill.
This isn't technically a nerf its a bug fix. Critical mass works perfectly fine. The problem was the outrageous number of times Magic Weapon: Venom seemed to proc it. Anyone could see there wasn't something quite right. My skills were resetting completely from just the venom ticks alone. Even IF it was working as intended 100 to 0 locking a boss would have been nerfed regardless. I'd rather venom proc it less than have an ICD put on it cause than on aoes i still get pretty fast resets.
Will give this a shot, but it looks like all the "Blues" are nerfing all the build guides you post up lol.
The thing is that he seems to look into making only extremely cheesy builds tha are basically "creative use of game mechanics". Then someone execute it to the point of showing its incredibly broken.
Seriously, being able to permafreeze every enemy ever, cant say that shit aint broken.
There is little doubt that this deserved the nerf,
but I do wonder if inferno beyond act1 will ever be able to be truely farmable becuase if the auction house is any indicator of what top end gear can look like; there will never be a point where you can out-gear the content and use conventional builds without stat stacking secondary stats to an extreme to interact with abilities, but every time we've done that so far it has resulted in a way too op build that did need nerfing.
What playstyle are they trying to shove wizards into? Glass cannons Noodles?
So what shall we try next? Stacking +hp on hit and attack speed paired with the Living Lightning, Venom Weapon, and Force shield?

Pretty sure that is the point, they don't want you farming inferno (especially solo), at least not in the first 2 weeks. Inferno isn't for everyone, get over it already
Define viable? Viable to cruise through Inferno without dying? Probably not. Viable to keep yourself alive in Inferno if you are careful and go slow? Probably.
this is fucking suck, 3 times I change my build and every fucking piece of armor I got... 3 fucking times, and now they keep nerf bat all build because Inferno is "easy" fuck this game.

Says the guy who has never made it to inferno. Try soloing act 3/4 then talk. This is the issue with all "you" people. You see someone post a video or a build that works well with a very specific type of gear, then instantly think it's overpowered as shit, not knowing anything about it. You chug along in nightmare and hell, thinking that your current kiting spec is going to get you through the entire game.
I watched a barb solo act 3 of inferno last night fighitng 10-20 mobs at once, with champion packs mixed in. Even in my current gear, which is pretty good, i can't kite very many champion packs. They have to have some stupid easy modifiers or you literally just have to run around them. Kiting something for 20 minutes straight only to get one shot by them and half their health reset doesnt make the game "fun" for me.
its simply. Critical mass suck cock now.. I have 30% crit and it doesnt proc anymore... my attack speed is like 3 shot per sec (if isnt more) and I crit really hard and it doesnt proc.
What next, Venom Hydra and Blizzard will no more freeze the ground ?
Im done, stoping playing this shity bugged game.
Blizzard looking for build then said : ah! this build rock, lets nerf it and then said : this spell wasnt working as intended
so with that no one will QQ about nerf..
I spend almost 30 000 000 gold for my 3 build (3 times nerfed) and now what ? Im supposed to be happy with that ? Im farming act 1 inferno since 60 hours and cant get into act2 because Im not doing 70k dps like DH... (btw im doing 30k dps)

While I feel your pain - it was pretty obvious this was going to be nerfed - I even said the day I posted it to NOT spend your gold on it. As soon as you saw videos of people stun locking Inferno Diablo to lolololvictory..
Good news is - we can still kill rare packs in Act 3 by kiting.. it just takes a LONG time and you can't get hit at all.. heh
I'm going to post up a guide in a second that will allow you to farm a room with a Treasure Goblin, Resplendent Chest and 1 Rare Pack - then kill an easy boss with 1 buff. In Act 3.
I did it several times last night with a "regular" build - works pretty well as long as you dont get a bad rare pack (then you simply reset).
I'm dead on the inside. I've been really trying to get past the first few quests in act 1 inferno, and I finally found a build and gear set up that worked for me and what happens? I log in this morning, and get 1 shotted by freaken everything. I have 40%~ish crit rate with scoundrel and 14000 damage, w/70% damage reduction and resists around 60% and 30k life. How the @#$@%@$ am I going to do anything now. It was hard enough to do anything.
What makes me even more dead on the inside is that I just blew 2million+ on gear for a build that wont resell worth anything now. And I figured this one out on my own. Figures. So how do we play now?
At the moment it will just be act 1 for wizards.. which is shit boring tbh. It's funny how barbs which were the 'weakest' links before are still standing strong through out inferno because they grow in strength due to gear. For wizards you can gear all you want and it will still be useless. I even went so desperate that I tried a 'tankier' build with blur + 50k hp and shield and 55% damage reduction, and still mobs like oppressors and the teleport dudes in act 3 (don't get me started on soul lashers) totally annihilating me. This way we will get shittier loot and will not be able to make lots of money on the AH like others are doing and which will also affect the RMAH (when it finally gets released).
So yeah. in my case, I just started an alt and hope that blizzard will come up with a great idea to balance it.
If you consider a Barb buffed with Tough as Nails and Warcry: Impunity who has 9500 armor and 850 resists (95.8% total mitigation vs. level 63 mobs counting the 30% monk/barb bonus) and you figure that a wizard will shift about 500 strength over to intelligence, a Wizard with equivalent gear running Energy Armor: Prismatic Armor would have 9625 Armor and 863 resists which is 93.4% mitigation, or 94.7% mitigation vs. melee with Blur. Sure that means the wizard would take about 12% more damage than the Barbarian from melee attacks, but Wizards also don't have to spend nearly so much time in melee range. You'd obviously have to make sacrifices to have that level of survivability, but it's not like Barbarians don't have to make the same sorts of sacrifices. Also, if there are Barbarians who are not getting annihilated solo in A3 Inferno, I haven't seen them posting. Very few claim to be able to solo A2.

Not that I took this build anyway.
I think im gonna tryn' not take these 'exploity' builds. To expensive.
