Everything that he mentioned is here, two defenses, one self centric one team centric, direct damage, not guess work...
Attack plan, volatility until I find a monster that needs to die fast, then firing 2 orbs and chasing them with volatility, they are celestial so it will be like firing 3 disintegrates at once.... with arcanot, PoTS and astral presence it will be 24/7 prism, volatility will only use 3 ap a second if natural regen is 10 a second. Playing around with idea of prism added too... , if it doesn't work out I'll do crystal shell, but with prism I would gain ap while casting volatility and every celestial orb would cost hardly anything. Using critical mass and evocation I would cast ST and a diamond skin a lot...
Except Mirror images is self centric as well. Frost Nova, Slow Time (in particular) are group-oriented defensive skills.
Well, yes and no. Mirror Images adds more targets for mobs to attack. Chances are my team and myself will less likely be attacked.
Since I'll be duo'ing at most with a Witch Doctor, I don't really feel like Slow Time will be all that useful and Frost Nova is far too up-close-and-personal for my liking.

Hahaha I stated in a post a long long time ago that I thought simulacrum would be the best use since it would have 100% of your health. Mirror images is still something I would throw in the trash... you notice how many times we are seeing disintegrate or some version of it... it is everywhere
Ya I was going to say the same thing about mirror images not exactly being team centric, I think a case can be made though a little, if they are going after the images they aren't going after your teammates, but simulacrum would give two really stable images though to take more fire... still though it borders on team centric in my opinion... I think slow time will get you more invites the 20% damage one and just slow time in general... whether perpetuity, or miasma... (my two favorites.) Miasma with evocation could get the most use out of against monsters and running around and for teammates as well, but they both seem really the same they both just extend the time the effect lasts, one works on the front end and one works on the back.
We had super hardcore test gamers play the game until they thought it was challenging enough, and then we doubled it.
Because we knew no matter how good we are, our players are going to be better.
Haha, what a joke.
I can't believe anyone would take anything they say about difficulty seriously....

"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?"
I have a sneaking, maybe unwarranted, suspicion mirror images wont accomplish very much in Inferno except roll over and die.
This
Why ? 200%~250% HP meat shield sounds great to me. Mirror Image also has the awesome illusionist passive.
Agree.
In WoW, ya I know lolz WoW, it seems like the mobs intentionally try to kill the images first.

Am I missing something, all I can see is (if runed) 100% of heatlh and three images, I have a feeling most wizards are not going to be built like tanks, couple of hits and the images are dead. Whats this %250 your reffering to? If thats the case I retract my observation.

Playing Diablo since 97. I know nothing and having nothing good to say, I be a troll.
Simulacrum gives you 2 Images each at your max health. So total extra 200%.
Duplicates give you 5 Images each at 25% of your max health. So a total extra of 125%.
Basically, even if they die in 1 hit, that's 1 hit you or your team didn't take. And likely they won't die in 1 hit anyway, especially if you take Simulacrum. And why would they even have the skill if they didn't scale well in the difficulties. They have health based on your own. If you can survive a fair few hits, then so will your images, again, especially if you take Simulacrum.
They definately won't last their full duration in Hell or Inferno, but will be enough to warrant their use, because if they are being attacked, you are not.

Lol, except you're plain wrong. Summoning 5 clones takes heat off every single one of your team mates. It's as group centric as anything you'll find.
I'm not wrong. Mirror images I doubt will be able to take more then a hit or two. They may have your life, but it's doubtful they will survive more then a very brief moment.

I still think there are better situational abilities than this one, slow time is an example. You can use the bubble to slow and increase damage or you can stay in the bubble and dodge attacks and buff your damage, I think there is more utility than a "I just bought a couple of seconds to run away".

I think people like you are going to get a serious reality check on inferno. They've repeatedly stated it's eff'ing hard and people keep trying to use their D2 experience with a completely new mode in a completely different game.

I realized that I might not use death blossom at all seeing as how I can't target it, so I'm going for the old standby:

I'll swap Volatility with Intensify on Disintegrate if I need to do some more powerful single target dps.
Diamond Skin is my self centric, and Mirror Images is team centric. They should be a good enough distraction to help my team fall back if need be.
