I've read the PTR patch notes and im a bit surprised to see that there is still no change to the elemental dmg to some of our primary skills. I play a phys pet doc and all i got to choose from is poison dart - numb dart and corpse spiders - widow makers.
Does anyone else like to see some more phys dmg on primary skills like plague of toads and/or firebomb?
Yeah, seeing as everyone else covers just about the whole spectrum on elements, it's irritating. A cold Rend, Fists of Thunder with non-lightning options, etc. Hell, even Blizzard has more than one variant now. Haunt is still all cold, which is staggeringly dumb. There's not a single good reason there can't be a poison/fire/physical rune for the sake of some build diversity. I mean, it used to be all physical.
I absolutely agree. I was quite disappointed when I looked for physical skills to find the pickings were dismal beyond pets.
On a side--but related--note, I would've thought that all those spiders from corpse spiders would actually be useful in proccing stuff, but they're still inferior to rain of toads by a huge margin. That being the case, I hope that they either SIGNIFICANTLY increase proc rate from spiders AND stop making the only 2 physical primary skills give mana as their special bonus, OR (on a purely selfish standpoint) make rain of toads physical.
