Hey guys I'm Debo, I Main the Witch Doctor class, ever since the beta for Diablo 3 Vanilla. Encouraging players to try out the Witch Doctor class, and enjoy Diablo 3 is my major focus. I started to do this by compiling my thoughts in guides, and streaming to provide information to those who seek it.
* One of the "Elite four" of Witch Doctor Helmets, this will push the Jades set damage to the fullest.
* Combined with Creeping Death this "doubles" the damage of our two major dots: Haunt, and Locust Swarm
**Shoulders: Jade Set**
* Pretty much straight forward here, provides the ability to harvest dots in effect on the enemy, and deal the remaining damage in one blow.
* Non-negotiable if your doing this build.
**Gloves: Jade Set**
* Pretty much straight forward here, provides the ability to harvest dots in effect on the enemy, and deal the remaining damage in one blow
* Non-negotiable if your doing this build.
**Ring 1: Stone of Jordan**
* Elemental Damage, and Increased damage to elites? Not to mention the potential to roll strong Primary stats, and a reforge to enable some crit damage, or crit chance. **
* This combined with Royal Ring of Grandeur, is the Best in slot combo (excluding if your running unity/follower combo) in game for this build.
**Ring 2: Royal Ring of Grandeur**
* Love it, or Hate it this ring is your best friend. Reduces set cost of all set items by 1, but nothing permited below 2 set pieces.
* This combined with Stone of Jordan, is the Best in slot combo (excluding if your running unity/follower combo) in game for this build.
**Weapon: Azure Wrath, Sun keeper, Furnace**
* Azure Wrath: Cold Damage increases Haunt Damage, Freeze on Hit provides Crowd control, sounds like an excellent weapon vs Non Elite/Boss mobs.
* Sun keeper: Increase Damage to Elites, This is the bread, and butter to one Shoting Elites, and dealing good damage to Rift Guardians/Boss mob.
* Furnace: A proc effect that does up to 8% Damage based off the current enemies health, this absolutely destroys Elites/Rift Guardians/Boss mobs.
**Off Hand: UhKapian Serpent**
* Jade set tends to be squishy, this will mitigate 25%-30% of damage taken, and distribute that damage to our zombie dogs.
* Having Zombie Dogs Life Link, provides another 10% mitigation of damage taken.
* Having this set up, allows us to roll more stats dedicated to damage, as opposed to toughness.
**Boots: Jade Set**
* Pretty much straight forward here, provides the ability to harvest dots in effect on the enemy, and deal the remaining damage in one blow.
* Non-negotiable if your doing this build.
**Pants: Jade Set**
* Pretty much straight forward here, provides the ability to harvest dots in effect on the enemy, and deal the remaining damage in one blow.
* Non-negotiable if your doing this build.
* Howj Wrap: Survive ability stats, and up to 80% slow on all enemies effected by Locust Swarm, talk about absolute control over enemy mobs.
* HellCat Waist guard: Increased damage to Elites, re-roll the Attack Speed for a toughness stat, and your set.
* Harrington's: Strong Survive ability Stats, and a very strong increase damage effect when triggered
**Chest: Jade Set**
* Pretty much straight forward here, provides the ability to harvest dots in effect on the enemy, and deal the remaining damage in one blow.
* Non-negotiable if your doing this build.
**Bracer: StrongArm Bracer**
* Combined with the fact were using Piranhas Pirhando, Enemies will take 20%+ Increased Damage since it qualifies as a knock back.
* Since we have to use Jade shoulders, to run the set, and we can't use Aughilds this is pretty much Best in slot for Jade set.
Necklace: Any Amulet with Trifecta Stats or Phys Ele% dmg , Int, CC, CHD
* As long as you have Trifecta stats running, or Ele Crit/Crit dmg amulet this will round out everything.
**Skill build breakdown:** ** Active Skills: ** **Spirit walk- "Jaunt"**
* Extended time in the spirit realm by 3 seconds, sounds good to me. Since we don't use alot of mana for this build it is a straight forward decision on this rune choice. ** * With Grave Injustice this allows for us to Run short on toughness, due to the fact this skill almost always being off cool-down. ** **Soul Harvest- "Siphon"**
* 20k HP back on all monsters harvested provides massive life sustain.
**Zombie Dogs- "Life Link"**
* 10% of Damage taken goes to zombie Dogs, Combined with our off-hand thats 35%-40% damage reduction due to our Zombie dogs.
**Piranhas- "Piranhado"**
* 15% Damage increase on targets affected by Piranhas. Sounds pretty nice, and with Grave Injustice we will be using this ability often.
* Also this triggers our StrongArm Bracers effect, which makes enemies effected by knockback effects take additional damage.
**Haunt- "Draining Spirit"**
* Allows for us to not go out of mana, while using our skills.
**Locust Swarm- "Pestilence"**
* Causes locust swarm to spread to two targets at a time instead of one, and if using Hwoj Wrap it spreads the slow effect to all enemies quickly.
**Passive Skills**
**Pierce the Veil**
*20% increased damage, Everyone pretty much runs it, and we have skills that deal with the increased mana cost problem.
**Grave Injustice**
* 1% Hp/Mana restored, and 1 second reduction to all skills, per enemy killed. This with our other Cool down reduction skills make it so we can maximize damage, and allow our cool-down reduction to come from our skills not our gear.
**Creeping Death**
* With Quetzalcoatl doubles the damage output of our dots, and extends our dots to 5 minutes.
**Spirit Vessel**
* Pure survive ability , Shortens our cool down for spirit Walk as well,Jade Set usualy doesn't build to much toughness, but with this skill it allows us to "thread the needle".
