Special Thanks to Hellswraith#1116 for the name of this build
Hello everyone like I stated in my most recent video I'm working on creating an optimal build incorporating Sacrifice and the Pet Doctor. Here is where I'm at so far.
Big Bad Voodoo, Slam Dance
No explanation needed =p
Piranhas, Piranado
Allows for better crowd control and damage. I'm usually a fan of soul harvest. However, for Greater Rifts and just about everything in 2.1.0 this is the safer and stronger bet.
Summon Zombie Dogs, Leeching Beasts
I have been messing around with another Rune Life Link. However, until further fixes on the PTR are made I'll be using Leeching Beasts.
Sacrifice, Provoke The Pack
Provoke the Pack Stacks up to 5 times and increases your damage by 20% everytime you use Sacrifice. This allows for your fetishes to gain an insane amount of damage. I do not use the Fetish Army skill. I know the patch notes state this stacks up to 10 times. However, until more fixes occur the maximum it can stack is up to 5.
Plague of Toads, Rain of Toads
In my opinion the best generator for Fetish Sycophants. Also this skill allows you to stay at a range, and keeps you safe while playing this build. Let's not forget the LoH is insane.
Passives
Fierce Loyalty
More movement speed = more survivability and the capability to clear Greater Rifts faster.
Fetish Sycophants
Tribal Rites
Helps reduce the Cool Down of Summon Zombie Dogs and Big Bad Voodoo. If I ever decide to tie in the Fetish Army anywhere down the line. It will help with its Cool Down as well.
Pierce the Veil
More base damage of course for all my damage dealing skills.
Gear
Head - Mask of Jeram (Legendary not Set)
Self Explanatory
Shoulders - Aughild's Power
Aiming for the 3 set
Amulet - Xephirian Amulet
Because lightning sucks XD
Chest - Tal Rasha's Relentless Pursuit
Pets benefit from A.S. Also I've been using this chest piece on my WD before RoS.
Gloves - Tasker and Theos
Another self explanatory item
Bracers - Aughild's Search
Again aiming for the 3 set
Belt - The Witching Hour
AS and CHD on a belt
Legs - Depth Diggers
The bonus damage to signature spells is to good to pass up
Feet - Ice Climbers
Because frozen sucks XD
Ring 1 - Ring of Royal Grandeur
Allows you to achieve the Augild's 3 set. I use a trifecta one int, as, cc, and cd
Ring 2 - Stone of Jordan
All hail the mighty Stone of Jordan. I use Phys% Damage and CC
Weapon - Sun Keeper
More bonus to elite damage
Off Hand - Homonculus
Quick I need more dogs to Sacrifice
This is what I'm working on guys. No videos as of yet will do one soon. Still testing other things. This is the most concrete so far. Let me know what you think.
Highest rank attained Season 1 Solo WD leaderboards #34 saved to #58 (http://us.battle.net/d3/en/rankings/season/1/rift-wd)! Highest rank attained Season 2 Solo WD leaderboards #88 saved to #97. I am the Zero 5 Dog Witch Doctor, and I created the most game altering build in ROS period. You can check out all my videos, and how I've made this build compliment every type of party composition here https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBGJIYOc01ApbUVh4JevsvA.
So I tried out this spec, and i liked it. Here are some thoughts, having 5 dogs up with midnight feast + fierce loyalty seemed more fluid to me. The problem was when you sacked them, more often than not it would keep one dog up and i would not receive the full dmg increase, which is believe would be 25% at that point. Now it seems as if the explosions were only doing real dmg when they were already at full dmg up, and the proc gets messy cuz then the dmg increase is bouncing around from 1,2, 3, 4, and the 5th dog.
Overall I like it, but it just seems like lots of energy when i could just get Gruesome feast + toad 20 yard pickup for 50% increased int.
That being said it seems like I am receiving much more dmg from int increase 50% than overall 25% dmg increase. When I matched the two up it seemed like i was outputting some good numbers, but the proc kept changing due to different numbers of dogs sacked. I am interested in helping you perfect this build, because while it may not be the most efficient, it is a good time playing.
Lemme know your thoughts and here is my armory if your interestedhttp://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/octondo-1407/hero/1675338
I also have hommonguloious < dogs every 5 seconds.
Awesome I'm glad you've played it, and have seen its potential. There are a few issues with it in the PTR, but rest assured once these changes go live. Incorporating this play style with the Pet Doctor regardless if you use Fetish Army, Fetish Sycophants. Whether your weapon of choice be a SMK, Doombringer, Rhen'ho Flayer, TF, or SunKeeper all pet doctor play styles benefit from incorporating the new changes to Sacrifice, Provoke The Pack ( I can't believe I can say this part XD). Whether you follow this build or wind up incorporating it in your own way because we all have different preferences when it comes to builds. Is essentially what matters. The damage increase is just way to good to pass up. As I think is the intention also the way it has been redesigned. I urge all Pet Doctors of all play styles to give it a try. I will say like you have stated before Octondo there are some issues that need to be addressed within the PTR that Blizzard will have to look into. Such as the buff timer and stacking the Provoke The Pack buff stacks to the maximum correctly. These fixes will come to the PTR soon enough, and will be smoothed out given time. Also before it goes live if they choose to keep these changes permanent. Octondo please feel free to leave your skill build and gear preferences on a part of this thread. Who knows it might be someone else's cup of tea if mine is not. That goes for all other Pet Doctors that decide to give the new Sacrifice, Provoke The Pack a whirl. It'll show every Pet Doctor that this is worth taking a look at and giving a try. Thank You everyone. Have fun and Good Luck on loots.
