This build is based upon some MP5 demanding gear and combination of Zombie Bears & Spirit Barrage. Besides the awesomeness of damage that Spirit Barrage deals, it's also used for stacking Rush of Essence passive which drastically increases your Mana regeneration.
This build provides a big damage and survival buff to your Witch Doctor. Aditional 40% damage from Big Bad Voodoo and Paranoia (Mass confusion) makes it just too OP not to play with.
When it comes to survival, I mean constant life steal ownage while under effect of Big Bad Voodoo (rain dance), and amount of bears you can constantly cast while being at full mana makes you almost invincible.
1). Spirit Barrage (Well of Souls) - After zombie bears damage, this is the second most damaging spell that Witch Doctor has. Way to impressive for single targets (Let's say you killed all the elite minions and you are left with the boss), just way to impressive. Also, having in mind that Spirit Barrage procs Rush of Essence,
you will pretty much end up with full Mana all the time.
How to use Spirit Barrage ?
As I mentioned in the video, always tend to focus using bears when it comes to AOE and multiple targets but also, tend to cast spirit barrage every 2 or 3 seconds. For example, keep spamming your Bears (right click) and often whenever you can press left click so you proc Spirit barrage. It will take you few minutes until you get into it, but I m sure you ll make it.
2). Zombie Charger (Zombie Bears) - No need to explain anything here. Pretty much everyone is familiar with this skill.
3). Spirit Walk (Honored Guest) - Awesome passive for regenerating your Mana. Reason why you don't need any other rune (like life regeneration) is the fact that you are most likely playing with life steal anyway, so that is your main and probably only source of life steal that you need.
4). Soul Harvest (Vengeful Spirit) - Solid damage and the most important of all, it retains your HP, since it deals damage and works with life steal, just as any other skill. Get into spirit walk, go into mobs and use it and your HP will be pretty much full.
5. Mass Confusion (Paranoia) - One of the best in-game skills for controlling monsters, provides additional 20% damage and while it's active you can most likely own any group with chain of your zombie bears. This skill is A MUST for this build, since your elite group won't move much while under effect of confusion, so you can freely pew pew them.
Also, always wait until the group is positioned in the way that you can confuse them all, than use your Totem and keep spamming bears. If you kill for example 2 of 3, finish the last one with spirit barrage.
Passive skills:
Gruesome Feast - 50% of your total intelligence and shit load of mana ? Please, GIMME!
Grave Injustice - Probably the best passive skill in game. A lot of HP / Mana regeneration and the most important of all, resets all your CD's which is priceless.
Rush of Essence - We use this because of our Spirit Barrage. Rush of Essence stacks and eventually regen a lot of mana.
Gear & What you should focus on
What I usually tend to do with my WD is find balance between damage and survival. I m around 150k DPS unbuffed and I'm loving it. What I constantly try to improve is my mana regeneration, vitality and trying to get over 1000 all resistances. For builds where zombie bears are included, try to get as much mana regeneration as possible, because as you know, most of the Witch Doctor that you see with insane damage, that's not a real damage after all.
can't seem to load the video on my phone, I'll have to check out the game play later on today... Looks interesting though i'm going to try this build out
I was saddened, I kinda dig it. But I have to use my shitty manajuma for the LS, No LS for this is useless and my EF is about 30k better :3
Also, the huge loss of pickup bothers me. I usually do my barrage builds with pets gi, gf and pierce the veil + pickupz But I dig nonpet builds these days and I haven't used confuse or voodoo in a long time.. So it was fresh :3
Heya and thanks for the response!
Reason I don't use pets anymore is that I m around 1000res, 45k HP (would be over 50k if I m not using ruby XP socket and hellfire ring), also I've tried to work on armor and I got 4k so it's pretty easy to survive and do things properly.
Also, I focused on MP5 105 unbuffed so it's some crazy mana regen.
You can work with passive skills tho, mix between Blood Ritual and Grusome feast, both are really insane.
All in all it's a nice build, huge DPS, really fast and effective.
Hail to the WD race! To bad it such expensive char to play. I've spend 500M+ on my WD, and around 100M on my Barb. Barb is able to do what my is, with much less DPS and shit.
What I find the most problematic with WD are 2 things at this point.
1) Mana regen: We need either more mana regen as passive regen, or some way to gain mana that is not based on kill, like Barb has on crit or Wizz APOC.
2) Some kind of dmg ability that would not require casting, something like sweaping wind or tornados, something that can be reserved mana, or mana over time. A good example would be the bats that are around us, just to enable us to move at the same time.
With those 2 points fixed WD would be the BEST class. It could compete at higher MP's with other classes, and have a ton of builds that are really different from one another. IMO!

Hey there Ice.
I ll tank you for your response but I will have to disagree about your statements. I personally think that WD is currently at a really high stage and it's probably one of the best and fastest classes to farm with. If you drop a look at my videos you will notice that mana is not a problem at all, it all depends how you build your WD.
If they would buff mp5 even more, it would be just too hilarious, since WD would surely be way too op.
When it comes to different skills and such, only thing that I would do is redesign or buff skills such is locus, haunt and fix some really useless runes and passives this class has. I m afraid that they are some skills that deal really huge damage and on the other had, skills that deal no damage at all.

Your farming speed is impressive, but your gear is also
Around 1000 Res, 45k Life. And 150K DPS. That costs a LOT!
My point is that WD is expensive to get to the state you are able to farm that fast. Barb or a Monk can do the same with much less gear requirement.
I'm interested in how much XP/h you can get and with what build. This is what most people are interested in.
What do you have to say on IAS/Crit allocation and priority. Are there any important breakpoint that bears have or am I right in assuming it only makes the cast faster. I'd like to know breakpoint anyways if you know it so I don't overstack on IAS for no reason.
I try to stay away IAS much from as I can right now in favor of +average as it will without a doubt be the best dps increase stat of the two.
Also, what's your take on skorn? I could see it working well together, or would the lost mana reg hit the spec too hard?
Hey Uzer and thanks for posting.
I'm not really too much into theory crafting but when it comes to any attributes, I always tend to find the nice balance, where you can deal enough damage and on other hand survive, which is much more important.
Witch Doctor is probably the only class that gets really poor bonuses from attack speed and honestly I don't think it matters much. I always tend to focus on Intelligence and the most important stat, mana regeneration. Attack speed will maybe change your DPS number but is it really a correct DPS shown ?
I would suggest any WD to focus on MP5 and intelligence, get around 4000 armor. I will upload another video where I talk about WD and how easy it is to almost get infinite mana and spam bears forever.
