Come on, why must everyone be streaming? Need that little bit of fame? Can't just play the game by yourself or with friends?
And commentary? What are you commentating on? "Oh a blue, oh a rare!! Identifying... ah crap level 57!"

Gamers today suck.
Not at all, its not about fame or recognition. It is about having fun with viewers and helping the diablo 3 community progress in their quest for gear. We provide a good resource guide for what has and has not worked for us farming and obtaining loot. Many people need that interactive support to help them progress and we are filling that gap. We are just average players wanting to share our information.
Yes, we all get more out of it WAY more than you do I'm sure.
To be honest... we really don't get anything out of it other then keeping ourselves motivated to play and have fun. We are very new to streaming so we are in it because it is something new. We take nothing from viewers and we giveaway about 95% of the usable gear we find.
Who's this we you're talking about anyway? I'm seeing tons of threads lately for people plugging their live feeds. I swear some of you gotta be dual accounting here.

Sorry, I am actually new to Diablo Fans forums. Promoting Haloth a Witch Doctor, no other accounts on cruse.

Why is there a paypal donation button at the bottom of your screen then? Not being a dick, just asking =)
Do you have another set of non mf gear?
I still dont understand why you farm whimsy instead of act 3. The only real advantage I can see is that it is really easy to get 5 stacks in act 1 and then kill 5-6 packs in whimsy and then restart the game. Kind of
Nice find on the offhand btw. I have a pretty decent MF set, but I am not going through the pain of finding myself another offhand. Scrolling through 25 pages of AH and looking at every single item gets boring fast. =)
The Paypal donation was requested by viewers to support the cost of xsplit, pandora one, and increased bandwidth TO cast; but valid point, we are trying to balance of the cost of streaming...We never promote or ask for donations, money is not the drive.
All of our gear is just MF/DPS gear we do not have another set. We are building up a set of PVP gear when 1.1 is released.
Off-hands are SO hard to find because of the way that the AH works and most people do not know the value of good off hands. That off hand was bought last week for about 500k gold. Pretty Sick.

I'm confused. Increased bandwidth TO cast? Like, your own personal bandwidth from where you are streaming from? Or the site's bandwidth that's hosting your content? And viewers demanded the option to support these things?

I understand where you're coming from... but Haloth's stream is actually good. It's unusual I know. Most streamers are terrible, but there's a handful that are actually doing it right.
It's just too bad D3 isn't a more dynamic game. PvP could change that as far as streaming is concerned maybe.
One of the biggest flaws in D3 is the lack of community. Even just the fact that you can't see games being created with titles and join them. Streamers make up for that just a little bit, which is a good thing. And more so when they aren't terrible...
Haloth's stream is great. The commentary is funny, on topic and helpful. He demonstrates the viability of MF gear and WD dps kiting. Obviously in Whimsy there is no real ranged mobs so a low HP dps kiter is in heaven. With his HP (19K) dealing with spear throwers in Act3 would be horribly painful.
I have learned a number of tricks and found it quite entertaining. Haloth also has videos of all of his streams hosted. That means you can go back and look at the progression. Live streams is great.
I don't think 90% of streamers get anything. I stream when my friends aren't on and i get like 5 viewers. I usually just give them gear if they ask even though I'm not even close to rich

Mostly a balance. Int/Crit/Crit Damage for bursting. All Res/Armor/Life Regen/CC Red for survivability. It will be a combination of the gear.
Thanks!
